I tried many products and was getting tired of washing my glasses after running them in my dishwasher. I received a sample of cascade platinum and was amazed how clean my glasses came out. It may cost a little more, but it's worth not having to wash my dishes before and after I run them in the dishwasher.

The platinum action packs are great because you don't have the mess of the powder and I like that it also has Dawn included with it. It is a very good way to clean dishes.

New Zealand Springs scent stays on all dishes for days after the wash cycle. Even my coffee will taste like this overly strong scent. It's disgusting and a shame since the product actually cleans well. I just hope I haven't done my body harm ingesting too much of the chemical responsible for such a potent smell.

I can put all my glasses in my washer along with all my greasy soiled pots and pans without worrying about it. These wonderful little packs cut through grease like there is no tomorrow and leave my dishes squeaky clean!

I am a faithful Cascade user, who has been using Cascade since it was a powder. I take pride in cleanliness of all in my life and especially my dishes, glasses and silverware. I was so happy when they came out with the gel packs that made it less of a mess to use and easy to do. I have tried them all and was happy to see one that said will "power away 24 hour stuck on food". I do one load of dishes a day, after dinner. All the dishes throughout the day are rinsed and put into the washer and the dinner dishes are put in there as well the same way. As a test, I had put in one casserole dish that had potatoes in it, scrapped out all the excess and put directly into the washer and it came out dirty. I have also found that my silver has had stuff on them as well. I was highly disappointed in the product that it did not work as stated and the stuck on food was only stuck on for about 2 hrs and did not come clean, never mind 24 hours.

I have tried other brands but this is the brand for me.Nothing cleans as well as Cascade.And as for the pacs,the convenience of it all being pre measured,no messy filling of the dispenser.It works for me! My mother used Cascade and I've been using it in my home now for the past 30 years!!! Don't deny yourself this luxury at an affordable price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have very hard water which always leaves a residue. Using this product has removed the residue and all of my dishes sparkle. Looking for coupons and using it every other time makes it's value stretch further.

I bought the Cascade ActionPacs for the first time because the store didn't have the brand that I usually buy. What a mistake!! I used it ONCE and all the dishes and flatware were AWFUL!! There was a white, chalky film on everything. The plastic ware was the worst! The flatware was tarnished as if the finish was taken off. Some utensils, the film couldn't be removed and are ruined. I feel that the company owes me a new set of flatware! I've used other products now and then and have never had this problem. Buyer Beware!!!

I have to say that I feel validated reading that other users have experienced the same issue that I have - the lingering taste of detergent. These "ActionPacs" have a very strong scent which we obviously noticed right away with the sample that we tried. We were, however, pleased with how clean our dishes were, so we decided to buy a whole package (92 count at BJs) which I now deeply regret. We were only a few pods into our package when we realized that our silicone and plastic items not only held the scent, but also that our food was starting to taste like the detergent. Our dishwasher is rinsing properly, I clean the filter at least once a week, and the dishwasher is only a few months old. After reading some of your other responses to reviewers experiencing the same thing and thinking maybe some of our items were older than we really remembered, we did a little test. I had just purchased a set of new silicone baking molds so I put a couple of them in with a load of other dishes. When they came out, the smell of the detergent lingered. We tried just letting them “air out”, but that didn't help. We tried rinsing them again, both by hand and with the dishwasher's rinse cycle. Nope! Nothing helped! Curious, I tried baking something in one of them. Before getting to the results of that though, I want to share that, without thinking about it, I made the grave mistake of licking some of the batter off the silicone spatula/scraper. It seemed like I might as well have licked one of the ActionPacs, and I had to try a number of things to get the detergent taste out of my mouth! The results of my baking experiment… any area of the food that was in contact with the silicone mold tasted like soap (and that was with just one washing). For a few more days we continued to use the “ActionPacs' with our other dishes and just washed our silicone and any nylon/plastic items by hand. Not only was that inconvenient, but we soon found other items had a lingering smell and in some cases taste of detergent. It wasn't nearly as strong, but it was still there. We have stopped using your product and are replacing any silicone/nylon/plastic items that were washed with it.

I have never been able to get my glassware clear. Everything is coated wth a white film . It is so frustrating. I tried buying new glasses, drying by hand, soaking them in vinegar and I even bought a new dish washer. Nothing worked so I figured I would just have to live with cloudy glasses. I saw a post on the Internet that said i had hard water stains and Cascade Complete would help get rid of them. Since I had tried every other detergent with that same promise I bought it. I did not expect it to work but after the very first wash the glasses were slightly cleaner. I was amazed when I discovered that with every wash the glass got clearer and clearer and now my glassware looks new. I wish I would have taken "before and after" pictures!
