dirty dishes

I bought this product because I have the dish soap and liked the scent of it and it cleans my dishes well. I have used the cascade tablets on multiple settings in my dish washer to have it turn out the same every time.I have tried cleaning the dish washer thinking that was the problem that did hot help either. The dishes are covered with a white film that I cannot remove after I get them out of the dish washer. They look horrible and our food tastes even worse. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I love cascade but not the complete!!!

Tried the new complete Cascade because I use the regular cascade packets and thought it would be great. Dishes came out smelling like soap and left a slimy feel to everything. Even the silverware! Made our coffee cups smell and you could taste the soapy taste in our coffee! My husband threw out a the whole bag just so I wouldn't use them again. (Only used it three times and had bought a big bag!!!) Got the regular Cascade with Dawn and notice a big difference in the dishes. Hated this new product!!!

Cascade Platinum ActionPacs causing discoloration

I put my Revere Ware pots in our dishwasher and used the Cascade Platinum pods. The copper bottoms of the pots turned gray, which I couldn't scrub back to their original color. I went back to using Cascade Complete pods and the original copper color returned. I also washed some sterling silver utensils with the Platinum pods and they ended up discolored as well. Required cleaning with silver polish to remove the discoloration. Again, using the Cascade Complete pods did not cause any discoloration to the silver pieces.

Cleans dishes, but packs stick together in package

Not sue what happened, but some of the pacs were "glued" together when I opened the tub (60 pacs). When I tried to pull them apart the contents spilled out of the pacs, thus causing more of them to stick together. What I was able to use worked just fine and I would use again, but feel that I spent big bucks for many pacs that can't be used. Next time I will only buy the product in a smaller package and not one of the larger tubs.

Left a film on my glassware

My glasses were always sparkling clean with no film or spots. When I switched to Cascade Platinum, I noticed a film on my glasses after the first use. I used the heat booster to boost the water temperature and also added jet dry, but nothing works. I am very disappointed, thought for the price these would work way better than they do.

Ruined my plastics!

I purchased 2 bags of the New Zealand Springs scent Cascade. It is AWFUL! All my plastic spatulas and storage containers taste like perfume! Unfortunately it took me a few weeks to notice where the bad taste was coming from. All baking I stored in containers that were plastic was ruined for Christmas. Any food that was stored in glass dishes with plastic lids was pretty much awful! So dissapointing! Doesn't P&G test this before they send it out on the market? I am now in the process of trying to figure out how to get this awful smell out of all my plastics AND my dishwasher!!!! My daughter also purchased the Berry scent and is having the same problem. My dishwasher is Stainless steel inside (all but the racks) but her's is plastic throughout....is there anything that will take out the scent? We have tried vinegar to no avail! Hope you can help me. I am not going to be purchasing cascade for a long time if ever because I am afraid of encountering problems again.

Film on dishes

Proctor & Gamble says if we are having trouble with film on our dishes, It is because of hard water...NOT. We have a water softener. It is never out of salt. We sold Culligan Water Softeners for many years as well as G.E. appliances. We know all of the things to check! I am here to tell you that we have film from this new soap. It is terrible and I am ashamed of my glasses. I should not have to purchase another product to get my dishes clean. I have a brand new 75 oz. box which is going into the garbage. I have used Cascade for many years and hate to see it go, but that is just the way it is.

Worth the $, my dishes actually shined!

After trying a "warehouse club" brand, my dishes got a film on them. We first noticed it with the glasses then even the dishes had a film. You know it's bad when teenage boys refuse to use the glasses since they still looked dirty. One wash after going back to Cascade, the glasses and dishes were like new. My 10 year old daughter even commented, "Wow, our dishes are so shiny!"

Not bad..but would never recommend

Usually I use Finish Quantum packs, however when I went to buy detergent this time it was not in stock. So I figured I'd give Cascade another shot even though last time I purchased it I was disappointed. Unfortunately I am left disappointed again. Every time I empty my dishwasher there are always dishes that need to be rewashed. Even if I rinse beforehand (something I never have to do with Finish) I still have smudged glasses or dirty silverware. For a last resort the product isn't terrible, but I would never chose it over my usual.
