After using only a few packs from a 90-pack bin, the next two packs didn't work at all. The coating came only partially off, so that they stuck to the soap compartment. They never fully dissolved, didn't clean my dishes, and left a gooey mess to clean up. After the first one failed, I cleaned everything up, dried out the compartment, and tried again. SAME results - a messy soap compartment and dirty dishes! After the second failure, I purchased another brand, and will NEVER buy Cascade again!

I have used the action pacs before and found them quite good. However, I recently purchased the Action Pacs with "Gain" original scent. In full disclosure, I thought I was just purchasing Cascade Original. The "Gain" part didn't register with me when I picked it up. The plastic reusable containers I washed came out with a strong smell of the "Gain" scent. I put leftover chicken and broth in one of the containers. The next day, I was going to eat the leftovers and "Uck!" You could not taste the chicken at all! It was like eating "Gain" detergent! It was the same with water put into plastic cups. It takes on the taste of the "Gain." I bought some Cascade gel. Will not use the rest of the action pacs. Surely this has happened to others as well.

I watched the commercials about how you never need to scrub your pans or rinse your dishes (which I always do) and when my store ran out of Finish I decided to give cascade with dawn a try. That was a total waste of money. The dishes and glasses all came out with alot of sediment on them and my glasses are now white instead of clear. We do have very hard water here but I never had this problem with finish. Even when I add rinse agent my dishes are dirty when they come out and I have to hand wash them. The inside of my stainless steel dishwasher also has an awful white coating all over and what looks like rust in the door. The dishwasher is one year old and looked clean before I used your product. I am going back to finish and will not use Cascade again.

I have purchased Cascade with Grease fighting power of DAWN!!!! The last 4 times I have used this product, the pac stuck to the dispenser. When the cycle was completed, I open the door to find the pac still intact and the dishes not cleaned! I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend purchasing it or any pacs with plastic. When discussing this product with a friend, I come to find out the same thing happened to her as well. Very disappointed.

Having chosen to preferentially buy cascade for years, during the past year, the quality of the cleaning has been dreadful leaving powdery smears all over glasses and plates. Switching to the gel was even worse leaving thick gooey residue on glasses, dishes and within the dishwasher itself. It took substantial time with a scrub brush to clean out the dishwasher. I now have a useless 3.5 liter bottle of goo in my garage.

Great great great price

Have used this product for years. But the last 2 or so years it works very poorly. Need to use twice as much and on a longer cycle. Wasteful! Procter & Gamble should be more honest with their customers and inform them that their product is now phosphate-free and thus market more for environmental concerns than performance. To be fair, I don't know of ANY dishwasher detergent that works well now that they're all phosphate-free.

I am using the new Cascade Advance Power dishwasher detergent. It leaves a white film on the black telfon utensils. I have tried vinegar to remove it. It only removed about 75 percent. Now my utensils look old. I am upset that this was not tested before being released to consumers.
