i'VE USED CASCADE FOR YEARS AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, NO MATTER WHICH PRODUCT i BUY THERE IS A TERRIBLE RESIDUE ON EVERYTHING IN THE DISHWASHER.. i HAD TO SCRUB MY SILVERWARE WITH A SCOTCHBRITE TO GET THEM BACK TO NORMAL AND THE SAME WITH MY STONEWARE DISHES.. I WAS HAVING COMPANY AND WAS EMBARASSED HOW BAD MY DISHES LOOKED SO I SCRUBBED THEM AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IT OFF. EITHER YOU HAVE ADDED SOMETHING NEW TO YOUR PRODUCT OR YOU HAVE TAKEN SOMETHING OUT OF IT TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. i READ SOME OTHER REVIEWS AND THERE WERE OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THE RESIDUE PROBLEM ALSO.

I always have loved Cascade, used it exclusively...but not since the phosphates were removed. My dishes are always dirty, covered with film. I have to rinse them before and after dishwashing, in turn using 3x the water. I dont know what needs to be done as I am not a chemist but something to take the place of phosphate needs to be incorporated. And yes Ive tried the gel pacs....its all a nightmare. I will gladly come back when this issue is solved. All I want is my Cascade...not vinegar, not citric acid, not rinsing etc...the good old Cascade that truely made washing dishes EASY!!

I'm very dissatisfied with this product. While the first pack I used worked fine, the last two I've put into the dishwasher have not dissolved. At this point, I'm about to try one more time before throwing the remaining 44 packs in the trash. So much for an all-in-one pack making life simpler.

Wonderful

I was a faithful Cascade Complete powder user many years ago. My dishes ALWAYS came out sparkling clean; without evening rinsing the food off I might add. I raved about it to everyone I knew. I moved and did not have a dishwasher for several years. Just recently I got a new one. Of course, I purchased my faithful Cascade Complete powder. But it didn't clean my dishes completely, and it left this white residue on most of them. The inside of my dishwasher was covered as well! The more I used the dishwasher, the worse it got. I used a rinse agent too. I am so, so disappointed. I checked with my friends and family to see what they said about Cascade. Everyone has stopped using it, because of the same problem. This includes the powder, gel and action pacs. What has happened to my old Cascade formula?? Please, please fix the problem and offer a product that will work like it used to. Cascade products cost too much to have such a poor performance!

The product is great, cleans not just the normal debris & grease, but also after a few washings cleaned the tarnish of my copper bottom Revere Ware pots, coffee/tea stains out of my white mugs, and years of yellowing & discoloration off my oldest stoneware plates & bowls. However, I have to ask, why make an otherwise recyclable #5 plastic tub non-recyclable? Especially for a company that has a whole web page dedicated to "sustainability." If it's solely because of the metallic label, why not use a compatible plastic wrap or paper label? Is it just fancy marketing, or is there some chemical degradation of the product that requires the protection of the opaque metal covering?

If you only wash glassware, this product is great. But, don't put a fry pan in, even though it is "dishwasher safe". It will not be "Cascade safe". Two of my fry pans ended up with markings on the outside, like something ran down and took the coating off. I finally got rid of them because they looked so terrible and bought a new one. After just one washing it has a mark on the outside. Also, do not put cake pans in ... mine turned various shades of gray to dark gray to almost black. Was still usable but ugly. That was thrown away also. I am handicapped and can't stand at the sink and do fry pans, aluminum pans or things not glass. This is definitely not the product for me.

I will never buy this product again after my experience with the New Zealand Springs scented action pacs. We used Cascade regularly in the past but this experience was horrible. I have thrown away countless plastic storage items and nylon cooking tools because of the taste it left on my food even weeks later. The amount of food we had to throw away because we stored it in such containers was heartbreaking. It leaves a wretched soapy taste on EVERYTHING. There are reviews on a popular online shopping site that will back this up fully.

Great buy at the price

We started using this product when we purchased a new dishwasher. I started to notice the bottom of my pans discoloring. I stopped putting them in the dishwasher. Then I noticed etching on my dishes and some emblems wearing off on mugs.. I have a collection. We quit using the product.
