If this is a refill, the trigger may need to be primed a few times before it'll dispense. Be sure the yellow lines are lined up on the top of the trigger as well. We're very sorry you had that experience; it's not something that we expect to happen with our Dawn Powerwash. When it stops spraying there are a couple of things you should check. First, the bottle is not designed to be used in an upside-down position. If you've been doing that, try spraying it upright into the sink a couple of times. If the nozzle is clogged, run warm water over the nozzle for a few minutes to loosen any clogs that may have occurred. If it stops spraying when it is nearly empty, it could be that the dip tube doesn’t reach the solution or is facing in the wrong direction. The correct direction for the dip tube is in the same direction of the sprayer and the bottom of it should be in the corner.To change the direction of the dip tube, disconnect the sprayer from the bottle and reconnect it.
