Tastes great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very picky about store bought sauces but this one fits my needs quite well. It is thick and creamy. The only thing I had to add to season was some salt and pepper - maybe a little garlic depending on the dish. I loved using this with alfredo pizza. It does not taste store bought. It was a huge hit in my family.

Creamy and versatile sauce

I usually pick marinara sauce because it is less fatty and lower in calories. However, this sauce is my husband's favorite. He said it was very creamy and flavorful. To cut the calories, you can add some water to finished product. Picking a lighter noodle helps as well. Sometimes you just need the real deal. Convenient jar that can be resealed for a few extra days in the fridge.

Pretty good for a jarred sauce.

As far as jarred sauces go, I'd say that Bertolli's products are among the best value for taste/quality relative to cost. However, when considering this sauce as a standalone Alfredo sauce, it's pretty mediocre. I would agree with another reviewer that the prominent flavor in this isn't the parmesan, which is a bit disappointing. Overall, I'd say this is a fairly good purchase if you're looking to make a quick pasta bake dish. I would buy this again in the future.

great sauce!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bertolli Alfredo with Aged Parmesan Cheese Sauce is now my favorite sauce adding to pasta, fettucini etc. We love cheesy ingredients of this sauce with garlic powder and spices. The texture is very creamy and tender. Great sauce!

Love this stuff!

It's hard when you're a working mom of busy kids to sit in the kitchen and cook all night. This Bertolli sauce is the best for a quick fix! We mix it with any kind of pasta. Sometimes add chicken, broccoli, and other goodies. The sauce tastes homemade like you've been cooking it all day! Kid and hubby approved! The best!

Don't like the taste.

Have purchased it a few times over several years, hoping the recipe had been changed it would be so convenient to use something already prepared. But I recently threw two jars away because of the taste. I liked some of your recipes for the Alfredo sauce, but made sauce from scratch, not in the jar. I let me know if you ever change the Alfredo sauce to be more like the Alfredo sauce you get in a real Italian restaurant.I like your tomato sauces.

Smooth and tasteful

I have honestly never tried Bertolli. I have always just grabbed store brand and didn't think much of it. This Alfredo with Parm was sooo tasteful and smooth. Rich but not too rich. It was the perfect blend. My entire family was in love. My daughter asked if we could eat this everyday. I think Bertolli has convinced my family! We are making the switch'

History of Alfredo Di Lelio - Il Vero Alfredo

HISTORY OF ALFREDO DI LELIO CREATOR IN 1908 OF “FETTUCCINE ALL’ALFREDO” (“FETTUCCINE ALFREDO”), NOW SERVED BY HIS NEPHEW INES DI LELIO, AT THE RESTAURANT “IL VERO ALFREDO” – “ALFREDO DI ROMA” IN ROME, PIAZZA AUGUSTO IMPERATORE 30 With reference to your article I have the pleasure to tell you the history of my grandfather Alfredo Di Lelio, who is the creator of “Fettuccine all’Alfredo” (“Fettuccine Alfredo”) in 1908 in the “trattoria” run by his mother Angelina in Rome, Piazza Rosa (Piazza disappeared in 1910 following the construction of the Galleria Colonna / Sordi). This “trattoria” of Piazza Rosa has become the “birthplace of fettuccine all’Alfredo”. More specifically, as is well known to many people who love the “fettuccine all’Alfredo", this famous dish in the world was invented by Alfredo Di Lelio concerned about the lack of appetite of his wife Ines, who was pregnant with my father Armando (born February 26, 1908). Alfredo di Lelio opened his restaurant “Alfredo” in 1914 in Rome and in 1943, during the war, he sold the restaurant to others outside his family. In 1950 Alfredo Di Lelio decided to reopen with his son Armando his restaurant in Piazza Augusto Imperatore n.30 "Il Vero Alfredo" (“Alfredo di Roma”), whose fame in the world has been strengthened by his nephew Alfredo and that now managed by me, with the famous “gold cutlery” (fork and spoon gold) donated in 1927 by two well-known American actors Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks (in gratitude for the hospitality). See the website of “Il Vero Alfredo”. I must clarify that other restaurants "Alfredo" in Rome do not belong and are out of my brand "Il Vero Alfredo – Alfredo di Roma". The brand "Il Vero Alfredo - Alfredo di Roma" is present in Mexico with a restaurant in Mexico City and a trattoria in Cozumel) on the basis of franchising relationships with the Group Hotel Presidente Intercontinental Mexico. The restaurant “Il Vero Alfredo” is in the Registry of “Historic Shops of Excellence - section on Historical Activities of Excellence” of the Municipality of Roma Capitale. Questa trattoria è “the birthplace of fettuccine all’Alfredo”.

Creamy and Delicious

I love how versatile this Bertolli Alfredo Sauce is. It works great for making a quick and easy meal. I just add chicken and pasta and it always comes out delicious. The blend of Romano cheese, fresh cream, and ages Parmesan cheese blend together for the perfect flavor of creamy Alfredo sauce. All of the ingredients used in this sauce taste of high quality. I like that it comes in a glass jar to lock in freshness. Overall, I love the classic taste of this sauce.
