[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging this arrived in was wayyy overkill. The jar and label itself are pleasant and easy to read. The flavor profile is great. The ingredients list is amazing as well. Texture is nice and smooth, just the way I like it. This is a very versatile sauce as it can be used in spaghetti, lasagna, and other pasta dishes.

I would Definitely by the old world traditional again, however there is absolutely no way I would ever buy the new recipe again. How is it possible that they do away with that was so good and replace it with something that is so terrible? Sounds like a bad corporate decision to do away with such a good product without trying a new replacement recipe on a smaller scale before hand. Nothing like shooting yourself in the food. Hopefully they will regain their senses and bring back the good stuff

I've cooked with Ragu Traditional since I was 15 and would not consider another sauce -- until now. Like many others have said I thought I was expired jars. But no! Apparently you all thought it was broke and decided to "fix" it. Do all us Ragu fans a favor: Admit you made a mistake and correct it by giving us back the sauce we know and love.

It's a pain to open a jar of sauce and then watch it mold before I get to finish it. I felt like I was just throwing my money away. Ragu sauce is not bitter and the fact that it comes in a single packet is perfect for me. I just heat it up a little (once it's on my food) and it's ready to go! I know it sounds crazy, but it's perfect for camping or going on vacation as it can be stored anywhere.

This Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce reminds me of my family in old Italy, drinking wine and sharing stories of the "family business" and making offers no one can refuse.

I asked my wife to buy this again because it was really good. We are trying different brands to try them out. I was so disappointed in this stuff. It used to be really great, not any longer. This is what I grew up on and was so looking forward to it. Why did you change this? Why would you ruin it? If it aint broke don't fix it. Because you have ruined this. We actually threw three jars of it away. So disappointed in you Ragu.

I have eaten Ragu spaghetti sauce my whole life. Loved it. I wouldn't eat any other sauce. Since the product introduced Olive Oil I can't stand it. I can no longer find the old recipe. Please bring it back so your customers have a choice. I will NOT buy the new recipe again.

I tried the traditional variety, and it was a good mixture of tomato flavor and herbs! My whole family, including two picky children, enjoyed this as well on our spaghetti dish.

People are mistaking what is actually changing the flavor of the sauce as the advvertised olive oil. The old recipe actually did have extra vurgin olive in it. The Olive oil advertised could be a cheaper blend but what i feel is making the change disappointing is the removal of the traditional romano in the sauce and extra garlic. Non Italian Americans aren't familiar with romano tending to be more familiar w/parmesan cheese. They don't recognize this important ingredient missing or the horrible amount of garlic added to the sauce. They just know they liked the old recipe and assume the "new" olive oil is the culprit. Whatever it is the traditional is no longer traditional because Ragu changed the recipe. People are disappointed. Taking out the pricy romano ingredient and trying to cover the cut with tons of garlic has created a product many no longer wish to buy. If we wanted Classico or Prego we would have purchased them.
