My mom always made the Christmas Holidays a warm, memorable time for her family in so many ways, but she went above and beyond with her holiday baking! And she always insisted on using Hershey's. Maybe it was because we lived in Pennsylvania, the home of Hershey chocolate (if you ever have the chance to go to the Hershey chocolate factory, go! It's an amazingly fun experience~especially for a child) Mom would start her Christmas baking the weekend after Thanksgiving and the whole family benefitted from her gifts of homemade Hershey's brownies with walnuts, cakes made with Hershey's chocolate icing, and even snowballs with Hershey Kisses in the middle. All the while drinking smooth, creamy Hershey's hot chocolate with her homemade whipped cream! As an adult, I tried other bakers cocoa from more exotic company names, but I they never had that delicious chocolatey flavor that Hershey always delivered.

Until recently, I didn't bake from scratch, I just used boxed desserts, but I decided to branch out a little and try some scratch recipes. I had been wanting to try a chocolate sheet cake with homemade chocolate icing for a while, but was a little scared. Since I got the Hershey's Cocoa 100% unsweetened cacao, I decided to go ahead and just try it. I was thrilled with how the cake turned out, it was so good, and the Hershey's cocoa was so easy to use. The packaging is perfect. The large opening makes it easy to measure out spoons or cups, and the lid is a close seal, keeping it fresh, although that won't be an issue, we used it all pretty quick. A quick search online will yield thousands of recipes for cocoa powder, making it a great staple, and the Hersheys cocoa powder produces the best flavor of cocoa we have used. We use it for baked, make chocolate milk, and even hot chocolate! Not too sweet and just the perfect sweet for our family!

I tried Hershey’s Special Dark Cacao Powder, and it’s awesome for baking and making drinks. There is no substitute for Hershey’s cocoa! This is the good stuff and it is cheap! The cocoa is very good for all chocolate recipes that request cocoa. It is very fine and powdery and easily mixes into your recipes. I have not experienced any issues with lumping or clumping with this brand as they use quality ingredients. Also, the container is great as it doesn’t pop open mysteriously like other brands. Lastly, Hersheys has a great website for delicious recipes if you are ever needing inspiration!

This cocoa is perfect for me. I always use it to make my chocolate cakes and they come out perfect all the time. The chocolate flavor is very rich and I don't need to use too much. The price is also very affordable. I would highly recommend this product
