Loved this hose, told everyone about it...until after 6 weeks use, probably 2-3 times a week, the hose disconnected from the metal piece. As always, Sam's great customer service had no problem issuing a refund. Maybe it was a one time thing, just beware.

Bought two of these in the spring of 2021. Loved the size. Loved how lightweight it was. Worked great for 1 summer. In April the following year, the connector of one of the hoses completely separated. There was no fixing it. The second soon followed in August. Didn't even get a full year of performance from either hose. Terrible quality! Not at all thrilled with the purchase.

The ends all fell off the Second time I used it,it just fell apart. Unfortunately had expected it to last so I threw away the box. I don’t want another one that’s for sure, so buying and returning with new box isnt an option. There is no repairing it either because it is layers of material and they all pulled apart when it broke. If I try to use it water comes out of about three foot of it with no ability to direct where the water is going.

I purchased two of these hoses and both leaked around the underside of the connector. I returned them and exchanged for two more. These also leaked underneath the connector. These are not American made, they are assembled in USA and the parts are from overseas.

Hose lasted 5 minutes before the end popped off of it. This is the second one. I thought with the first one it might have been a fluke so I bought another one! Will not be purchasing again and cannot get customer support direct from company that states on the box a 5-year warranty....

I use a rain-style watering wand to water all of my flowers and shrubs in the yard every day. The idea of a light flexible hose appealed to me. I REALLY wanted to like this hose. I think that if you needed to use this for occasional use with a spray gun, it would work okay. However, if you are wanting to use it in a high-flow, low-back-pressure situation like I am, it is quite frustrating. The hose constantly collapses on itself while moving it around. Unless you pull the hose straight at the end (where the strain relief is) you will get a chatter/water hammer effect. Even when I was taking care to avoid these issues, the overall flow rate is significantly lower than a standard 5/8" hose. The good: The construction seems decent. The color is nice. The strain relievers on each end are okay, but should be longer. The hose is definitely light and flxible. Not so good: Collapses on itself easily. Low flow rate. Water hammer effect when inevitable collapse occurs.

I had this hose 4 times. Only the first time was acceptable. First one although it leaked through the connector last me 3 to 4 years. The product is light and frankly I like it. Ideal for my elderly mother to water plants. The first one basically exploded and that was it. So I got another July last year, it leaked through the connector right from the start. Sam's exchanged that one a couple of weeks later. The replacement started leaking through the connector and in less than in a year the connector crimping failed. I got another one, this one lasted less than 3 months, same issue it started leaking through the connector and eventually the crimping failed completely. I give up this is not luck, this product is awful. It shouldn't be sold to anyone.

I had high hopes for this one. Light weight, seemed to have a good construction for outside material and perfect length. HOWEVER, I bought two different nozzles thinking they were the problem, but nope...it was leaking where the hose connects to the metal end. Don't buy it or get a free shower while using it.

The first time, and each subsequent time, I have used this hose, it has leaked from the couplings at both ends. The video (which I cannot figure out how to attach to this review) is of the male end where I have it attached to a plastic cutoff valve to which I have my sprayer nozzle attached. As you can see, it is leaking where the hose crimp sleeve attaches to the hose coupling. It is also leaking between the metal sleeve and the hose itself. Additionally, it leaks where the threaded male end screws into the plastic cutoff valve, even though I have used silicone plumbing tape to try to seal the threads. I will try to secure (using a waterproof glue) the threaded male end into the plastic cutoff valve so that it does not leak there. I will also coat the metal sleeve of the coupling and the hose itself with a silicon adhesive, Flex Seal, or something like that and push the black rubber/plastic sleeve over the coated area to try to seal that area from leaking. I do this instead of returning the hose only because, other than the leaking, the hose is lightweight and easy to coil and store. I will follow up this review with the results of those attempts. Another thing, the packaging, and hose itself, are a bit deceptive. Someone looking at the hose through the little slit and box--with statements like "easy to wind up and store" and "lightweight performance hose" and such--and might think it is an expandable garden hose "which does do all of the work of a traditional hose, but shrinks down into lightweight, portable tubes for easy storage." Only on the back of the box--where it lists all the "positive attributes" of the hose--does it say, "Does not retract or expand." Additionally, where the "positive attributes" are listed, it says "Ergonomic... couplings" which is not true; the hex portion of the male end coupling is very narrow and I had to use pliers to hold it in order to tighten it as much as I could, despite which, it still leaked (see above). Finally, on the bottom of the box--where most people would not look--in very small print there are two noteworthy instructions: First "NOTE: Before using your hose, place the washer firmly inside the coupling. This will prevent leaking." and Second, a paragraph-long dissertation addressing previously critiqued aluminum / brass fusing problem.

Bought this to substitute my heavy duty garden hose because of its too heavy to move it around but this one started leaking from day 1 at the fittings and became completely unusable after 4 months. Too bad Samsclub is still carrying this piece of junk.
