Bought this lightweight hose, hose end fitting leaked starting the 2nd week. I attempted to fix it by replacing the 1/2 inch hose end fitting. Plastic wouldn't work, brass wouldn't work, nothing would clamp down tight enough to stop any water from escaping. Just paid $40 for a non-usable hose

Hose burst on first use. Product details claims a bursting strength of 600 psi. My hose burst when I closed my spray nozzle while washing my automobile. I was using the hose attached to my homes garden hose spigot. Household water pressure is approximately 35 psi. I am very disappointed.

I received this hose as a gift. I used it for the first time yesterday. It is supposed to be kink resistant. Not mine. I find that it kinks and if you get rid of one kink, it kinks somewhere else. Today, I had to get rid of five kinks before water finally came through. Not satisfied!

Owned this hose for less than 2 years with only about 1 year of steady use. Began leaking after a few months then recently the entire tail end comes apart while screwing on a nozzle. Figured the 5 year warranty meant something but when I contacted the manufacturer and never heard anything.

Loved this hose, told everyone about it...until after 6 weeks use, probably 2-3 times a week, the hose disconnected from the metal piece. As always, Sam's great customer service had no problem issuing a refund. Maybe it was a one time thing, just beware.

I really like this hose, but it leaks at both ends. It seems to be leaking under the black casing around each end of the hose, where the hose attaches to the connector. If it didn't leak it would be my favorite hose and I would purchase more, but the leaks render it useless. Unfortunately, all of the reviews that reference leaking at the connection points are accurate.

I had this hose 4 times. Only the first time was acceptable. First one although it leaked through the connector last me 3 to 4 years. The product is light and frankly I like it. Ideal for my elderly mother to water plants. The first one basically exploded and that was it. So I got another July last year, it leaked through the connector right from the start. Sam's exchanged that one a couple of weeks later. The replacement started leaking through the connector and in less than in a year the connector crimping failed. I got another one, this one lasted less than 3 months, same issue it started leaking through the connector and eventually the crimping failed completely. I give up this is not luck, this product is awful. It shouldn't be sold to anyone.

I’m very dissatisfied with this hose. I bought one last year and when hooking it back up this year leak city at the connection to the faucet. How they make the fitting ends needs to be re-engineered. Bought another one from Sam’s. This years version is worse. The male end has no way to put a wrench on it to tighten. Not sure if saving a a quarter to make better ends is a company option but you need to review your reviews and figure out to improve the quality. I like that the hose is lightweight but not when water is spraying on the house or the person trying to use the spray end. Will be returning this years hose which I just bought today and will be calling to figure out to use the 5 year warranty from last years flop

The first time, and each subsequent time, I have used this hose, it has leaked from the couplings at both ends. The video (which I cannot figure out how to attach to this review) is of the male end where I have it attached to a plastic cutoff valve to which I have my sprayer nozzle attached. As you can see, it is leaking where the hose crimp sleeve attaches to the hose coupling. It is also leaking between the metal sleeve and the hose itself. Additionally, it leaks where the threaded male end screws into the plastic cutoff valve, even though I have used silicone plumbing tape to try to seal the threads. I will try to secure (using a waterproof glue) the threaded male end into the plastic cutoff valve so that it does not leak there. I will also coat the metal sleeve of the coupling and the hose itself with a silicon adhesive, Flex Seal, or something like that and push the black rubber/plastic sleeve over the coated area to try to seal that area from leaking. I do this instead of returning the hose only because, other than the leaking, the hose is lightweight and easy to coil and store. I will follow up this review with the results of those attempts. Another thing, the packaging, and hose itself, are a bit deceptive. Someone looking at the hose through the little slit and box--with statements like "easy to wind up and store" and "lightweight performance hose" and such--and might think it is an expandable garden hose "which does do all of the work of a traditional hose, but shrinks down into lightweight, portable tubes for easy storage." Only on the back of the box--where it lists all the "positive attributes" of the hose--does it say, "Does not retract or expand." Additionally, where the "positive attributes" are listed, it says "Ergonomic... couplings" which is not true; the hex portion of the male end coupling is very narrow and I had to use pliers to hold it in order to tighten it as much as I could, despite which, it still leaked (see above). Finally, on the bottom of the box--where most people would not look--in very small print there are two noteworthy instructions: First "NOTE: Before using your hose, place the washer firmly inside the coupling. This will prevent leaking." and Second, a paragraph-long dissertation addressing previously critiqued aluminum / brass fusing problem.

I bought three of these hoses. Returned 2, now will be returning last one. Theses leaked from day one at the end of hose connectors and got worse and worse over time. The last one I still owned just "blew off" the entire end of the hose. Not sure why these are still being sold with such poor quality control.
