The ibuprofen targets pain at the source while the acetaminophen blocks pain signals. Take 2 pills to provide up to 8 hours of pain relief. I haven't had a reason yet to take this but my boyfriend tested it for some back pain he had. He said it worked really well, kicked in pretty quickly, and lasted about 6 hours. Other reviews have stated that it takes 15-30 minutes to kick in and works for 6-8 hours. I dont think I was able to notice a clear improvement from plain Advil but that would also depend on my reason for taking. I took this for cramp pain.

The longevity of the product was good since it is dual action and has a longer between time than other pain relievers. I was worried since it is a hard pill and not a gel capsule it would take longer to work but it didnt!
