After high dose chemotherapy I developed a myriad of neurological related side effects. My doctor wrote prescriptions for a long list of drugs, most with impairing side effects and not compatible with everyday life. By chance I tried Excedrin Migraine and within 20 min my pain was none existent additionally one dose would last almost a week before I required another dose. I was panicked when I heard it would be discontinued. I have stocked up about a years worth and I am hoping it will be back on the shelves. People who don't understand what us chronic pain sufferers go through need to understand when we have access to this medication it makes everyday life manageable.

I do have to take these with food because if I take them on an empty stomach, I will get sick. But other than that, great pain relief!!

The problem arose when it arrived because I didn’t realize that each product contains NSAIDS, which I’m unable to take. I went back and forth about contacting them and also spoke with my doctor. Because of my situation, he advised me not to take the Excedrin-it just wasn’t worth the risk for me. However, I have several friends who take this and do really well with it. I wish I could because one of them gets migraines, maybe monthly, and she has told me that it’s kept her from having to be out of commission all day. As someone who also gets migraines, that made me envious. She said it’s the only thing that has helped (she refuses traditional prescriptions treatments and will only consider over the counter or alternative therapies. Sorry I can’t provide a firsthand experience but I did think it was worth mentioning because some people don’t know that NSAIDS are unsafe for them. In my case, my doctor said it could cause problems with just a couple of doses. Would that be guaranteed to happen? No, but it is possible.

However, sometimes I can only take so many target pills during the week, so I look for fillers. This doesn’t help and actually made me feel as though I am allergic to an active ingredient, making my tongue swell.

I've suffered from Migraines since I was 8 years old I don't get them as frequently as I used to, but I still get them once a month or so. I've tried ever kind of medication under the sun prescribed and OTC, this is the one that works the best for me. As soon as I feel a migraine coming on I take 2 of these, lay down in a quiet room, blinds closed, and an hour or so later I'm feeling much better.

Excedrin has always helped me get through tough and unbearable migraines! I always become light sensitive, where it hurts to even open my eyes, but within 30 excedrin always helps. It is pretty affordable and can be found anywhere. Would definitely recommend over other pain killers for a tough migraine.
