Unfortunately not a fan of this one. The amount of instructions alone are enough to deter use. When it comes to pain like this, I don’t need more reasons to delay relief. But if you make it through all the hoops to use it, it just smells so strongly and not in a good way. It smells like chemicals. In the end I still didn’t really get relief. So I’m afraid it’s a no for me.

Some of the gel just shot out, so I immediately went to apply the little bit that spilled out of the tube. Be sure to apply to clean dry skin. I did start to feel an itchy/stinging sensation, which I did not like. Made me want to wash it off. This is a gel formula,which has a cooling effect when first applied, and it also has a medicated smell, but it's not overwhelming or strong. Thankfully, I stopped and did not start rubbing this all over my hands, elbows, and ankles because you can only apply this to 2 body areas at a time, 4 times a day. It also comes with a measuring card. Be sure to use that to make sure you apply the right amount and do not overdo it. It also states this is not fast acting, so if you need immediate relief, this is not it. For me, I did not like this. My skin may be too sensitive for this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This voltaren gel is good stuff. You can apply it to small joints that are painful, only works for arthritic pain. You may not notice a difference the first couple times you use it, but with continued use it works like a charm!

It can take up to 7 days to work for the arthritis pain, and you can’t use it longer than 22 days. It’s easy to use with the flip top in the tube. You just run it in on the area you have pain. It does smell like alcohol so it’s not to pleasant, but you get used to it. Overall this product works and I recommend it if you need pain relief due to arthritis.

Mostly I deal with it in the winter because I don't have any problems when the weather is warm. This product was recommended to me but the odor is too strong for my sensitive sinuses. I am very sensitive but this product would probably work for someone who is not smell sensitive.
