[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this cream for my mom when she was having issues with her knees. It helped her tremendously. It’s affordable, love the packaging, and definitely try it if you have pain in joints. I highly recommend this product.

My husband has been using this product for years and it works well for his problem. However the new design of the cap to administer the medication is horrible. He is legally blind, was able to take care of putting the med on the strips without my help and now he can not see the strip while putting the med on the strip. I even have a problem seeing the strip and putting the gel on the strip without over doing or under doing the amount of medication. I would love to see Voltaren go back to the original cap--blue star like cap that removes totally from the tube. Why was it necessary to change a perfectly good design to one that is very difficult to use on the strips?

It is definitely a good reliever for arthritis but if you read the directions, it says that this product needs to be applied four times per day and the amount that you need to place on the body part actually is quite a bit. If you’re doing a lower body part you need Approximately 4 g per dose so a tube will not last long if you’re using it on your knee four times a day at 4 g. The tube is 100 grams. It does come with a dosing card and if you lose your dosing card, you can always contact them and they’ll send you another one. It does work, but you are continuously applying it and purchasing it to maintain your relief. The tube comes with an easy flip lid, which was nice.

It absorbs right into the skin, and the best part, it doesn’t have that strong smell that most do. It is a little pricey, but it is worth every penny. My knees thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Voltaren pain relieving gel is definitely better than the alternative products that are available. The Voltaren is a little bit more expensive than those others, but the result is better, and you don't have to deal with the offensive signature odor that most of the topical pain reliefs usually have. That is probably my favorite thing about it, really. The strong odor always bothered me , and pretty well everyone else around me too! Since I discovered the Voltaren gel, I have not purchased any other comparable products, and I don't intend to. I would rather pay a bit more for something that is more effective, and does not fill my home with that awful smell.

The smell is kind of strong but as are most of these kind of gels. The packaging is good and I think maybe after a few more tries we will see if it is worth the money.

This gel used to be available only by prescription. Serrano types of pain flares are intense and pills can take too long to kick-in, or fail to help if I take them after the pain has already flared up. This topical gel works really fast to soothe pain in my joints. The only thing is making sure you wash your hands very thoroughly after applying it and avoid touching the medicated skin area, which can be hard to remember and inconvenient

So happy this is available OTC now! It helps so much with pain in specific areas when I don’t want something systemic.
