Great tasting oats

This brand of oats is my favorite, and I am always buying them Old Fashioned. It's high in fiber and low in sugars that is a big plus in my book. Easy to cook, I actually steep these oats much like you do with tea. Pour hot water over the oats just enough to cover, cover with a lid and leave well alone. Come back and my oats are ready to eat. Great tasting, I recommend Quaker Oats to anyone who wants to have a good hearty breakfast.

The best oatmeal

My hubby and I eat oatmeal at least 4 times a week. We have tried many different brands but we always come back to Quaker Oats. Takes 3 minutes in the microwave, the texture is chewy, never mushy. He adds dried berries and cinnamon, I add dried berries and peanut butter. Delicious and filling.

Not just any oatmeal will do. I tried great value, something was a bit off with the texture and flavor. I like to take a can of cooked apples, empty in caserole dish, take a box of apple crisp mix. Prepare and cook as the directions say on box. Use as topping over oatmeal. I also like to add brown sugar to the water before I add the oatmeal. It's sooo good!

The product itself is very good but these arrived damaged with some of the oats spilled out in the box. Whoever packed my order put this in with heavy things so the lid was damaged. I was able to keep them, but I had to transfer the oats into a container of my own.

So good!!!

With just 5 minutes of cooking time, this is 100 times better than "instant" oatmeal. Plus you can use it for recipes (like meatloaf), which you usually can't do with "instant". I am in my late 50's, and have been eating this since I was a kid. It's definitely worth the small extra amount of time and effort!!!

Sticks to yyour Ribs

I love the Old fashioned oatmeal. all those flavored and instant oatmeals and the kind in the individual "instant" packets just don't make it for me. Who can possibly be so busy they cant take time to make a proper bowl of oatmeal? I like different textures in the bowl, so i boil the water then toss in a handful of oats every minute or so- - that way some are soft, and some are nearly raw. Toss in a little honey and you've got grandma's oatmeal. When I would eat oatmeal in New England, the old folks would say it will "stick to your ribs". for years I had visions of oatmeal clumps hanging off my ribs like Spanish Moss. Funny how kids get strange ideas.

Steel Cut Oats

The steel cut oats came with two holes in lower part of bag, thank goodness now had fallen out due to second layer of paper was holding (barely) Had to move the oats to a different container. This was down right tough due to my age (89) and strength. I will not buy this again.

Great product, poor packing

I read that others had issues with containers opening in the box, but thought I would give it a try because of the great price. I know Quaker packages them in cases of 6, so I thought it would be safe to order 12. I was wrong. I received a box of 7 busted containers with no packing material, and a box of 5 busted containers with no packing material. What a waste!! Thank you Walmart!!

Loving My Quaker Oats

We love our oatmeal every morning. It's great to have this much on hand on a regular basis. It costs just as much or less than the generic ones at the grocery store. You definitely can tell the difference in quality with Quaker Oats. It's more like restaurant quality in size and texture.
