Eat It Cold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got turned on to quick oats cold by my buddy! Just use sweetener and milk and you just don't have to wait. They are quick but I never knew how! They still have all the nutritional value in the smaller version. I use both kinds of Quaker Oats and it is a quick reach for either one. Whether hot is better than cold, I still don't know. Cold oats rules my kitchen. Add (chocolate chips- yeah!) stuff to it. Holy Moly!

This is good but

This is good but I preferred the quick oats of the same brand for personal taste. I tried it once and I switched back to the others. Taste is similar but texture is different and they need to cook in more time. I use to do overnight oats and they are okay Quaker Oats Quick 1 Minute Oats

Great Food for Everyday!

One of the most versatile ingredients in my kitchen. We consume a great deal of Quaker Oats: breakfast, quick pick- up at lunch and occasionally a late night snack. It's as versatile as you make it, add nuts or honey, shredded coconut. I use it quite a bit in cooking for breads and of course for meatloaf. It's also a staple in cookies. The oatmeal cookie recipe inside the canister lid is awesome. I change that one up a bit sometimes, omit the raisins and cinnamon, and add dark chocolate. No weight issues or cholesterol issues in this house, and we enjoy eating, but substitute junk food with oatmeal and fresh fruit. Just dress it up!

As far as I'm concerned, Quaker Oats Old Fashioned is still the best oatmeal out there. (and the best value) It takes just minutes to make either in the microwave or on the stovetop. Then you can add any flavor you want! I prefer the texture of the old fashioned oats to the quick oats as personal preference and do highly recommend.

Can't beat an original!

Old Fashioned Quaker Oats, besides being great tasting, is an easy to prepare, versatile product. It gives body to meatloaf, works as a topping for fruit desserts, works with flour or bread crumbs to make a crunchy coating, is wonderful hot with fruits and other toss-ins. Healthy, too!

Cooking Instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It would be helpful if you noted on your instructions how much to increase the liquid if you're cooking more than two servings. The oats doubled but the liquid increased by 3/4. Does it continue to increase by 3/4 for each additional serving?

I love Quaker Oats. I've been eating this since I was a child. I make mine with milk so it comes out creamy. Top with a little cinnamon and brown sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup to help boost the flavor. Fresh fruit, like apples or peaches, can also be added. I use this to make my stove top chocolate fudge oatmeal cookies and home made granola. Anything can be made healthier with Quaker Oats.

I wouldn't buy anything else ... UNTIL NOW!

Why did you change your oatmeal recently? It's tough and tastes terrible. Did your product team try this before they decided to market it, because they absolutely would have let you know it was awful. Who made the decision to go ahead with this production? - I thought it was my choice - I checked the label twice. Same label as forever - but not the same oatmeal. I'll be looking for a new oatmeal.

We love it!

My daughter and I absolutely love Quaker Old Fashioned Oats especially when I make it for our breakfast during the week when I feel we need something to hold us until lunch time. This is a wonderful breakfast with brown sugar, raisins, flax seed, a few drops of cream and squeeze of lemon . Yum!

Disappointed

I’m 83 yrs old. Been eating Old Fashioned Quaker Oats all my life. For awhile I’ve been noticing this gooey substance as I’m cooking. Are you adding starch or something, it looks vet off putting. I’m eating a bowl as I’m writing this review, seems as all good things end at some time
