"Rediscovered" oatmeat at age 60!

I have been looking for healthy ways to get fiber and "beta glucans" into my diet. Regular oats - more so than quick oats - were highly recommended. Quaker has been the oatmeal standard since childhood, so I looked at a box of Old Fashioned Oats at the store a couple of weeks ago. When I saw they could be cooked in the microwave, I was SOLD. They were so naturally delicious that I didn't even need to add butter and sugar, like Mom used to do to get us to eat oatmeal as kids. There are now 4 1/2 boxes in my cupboard!

Brown Bugs

Purchased 160 oz, 2 80 oz bags, in one box at Costco. We eat the first bag. In the second bag at the bottom we notice a lot of brown substance at the bottom of the bag. They were live small bugs, moving. Unfortunately I can never eat this product again without thinking of all the times I eat it with bugs unknowingly.

Every morning!

After reading many people complaining about the oats being mushy..... Maybe it's not being prepared correctly. I put 1 cup water with a sprinkle of salt in a saucepan and heat until full boil. Then add 1/2 cup oats with either 1/3 cup raisins or craisins. Give one quick stir with a wooden spoon and turn down to med. cook for 5 min. (No need to stir again) Serve and the Quaker Oats are perfect every time!

This oatmeal product has

This oatmeal product has been a part of our breakfast for many years. It's great quality for the price. It's healthy and good on a cold day even for dinner. Once my granddaughters were old enough this oatmeal became part if their diet too. Other than as a great oatmeal, the oats are delicious for making oatmeal cookies.

I like old-fashioned oats.

I like old-fashioned oats. It's a big volume of oats. I make my oats flour and use it for baking. One of my favorite recipes is Italian biscotti with honey and nuts, figs. Cowboys cookies are wonderful too.it more healthy for you to use oats compare with bleach flour.

Oh fashion oats is good for a warm hot breakfast. I like to make it with energy bars and peanut butter, chocolate chips and honey. There’s oatmeal goes way back and is reliable. You can make oatmeal cookies to oatmeal bars to probably an energy drink in your blender. I would definitely recommend it and I would purchase it again.

Love making over night

Love making over night oats and oatmeal cookies with this brand. I have tried store brands and they sometimes have a cardboard taste so we always but the Quaker brand. They’re are fairly priced and super yummy however you make them or whatever you add to them! ☺️

Too many carbs

Why does a single serving of old-fashioned oats have 27 grams of carbohydrates? Once you add milk and sugar (or honey) you're at about 50% of what your daily intake of carbs (72 grams) should be to minimize glucose production in the body. Can Quaker cut back on the 27 grams?

the whole family loves quaker oats for breakfast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually mornings in our house are very busy and hectic. I need to be able to make breakfast fast. I do not want to compromise on health, I still want to give them something that is going to keep them full and nourish them throughout the day. Quakeroats is perfect for that. I can make a quick bowl of oatmeal for my family and everyone is eating fast and its healthy. We love the single serve packets because everyone can choose their own flavor. The bonus is there is also not alot of mess in the making, so clean-up is fast and easy to. I did receive new Quaker Steel Cut Quick 3-Minute Oatmeal for a promotion from the brand.
