Buy Store Brand Oats

Something is wrong with Qaker Old Fashioned Oats these days. I use them for overnight oats, and they absolutely do not absorb water. I will not be purchasing Qaker anymore; I'll be purchasing store brand oats like Kroger. Never had an issue with those.

I like it, but it seems like something has changed

I eat this oatmeal almost every morning, have for years, and will continue to do so. I like it. However, it has definitely changed in texture and taste. I used to cook it (not overcook) and it would retain large flakes and a taste that was unique. Now it has more of a "mushy" or pasty texture and definitely tastes different. Maybe my "old guy" taste buds are changing. Who knows.

Superior to store brand

Old fashioned oatmeal is my daily breakfast so quality differences are very clear when compared daily. I tried my local grocery brand and found every bowl I ate had at least 5 husks. It ruined my breakfast many days. My Old Quaker bowls rarely ever have a single husk. I really appreciate a brand that is truly giving their product attention to quality. I’m now very loyal to my Quaker Oats!

Great Healthy breakfast and Non GMO!!

Microwave a bowl with water for 2 minutes every morning. Add a tablespoon of Almond butter and mash a fresh banana then add a little Almond Milk. Rich in Antioxidants, Contain a Powerful Soluble Fiber Called Beta-Glucan, a type of soluble fiber. Beta-glucan partially dissolves in water and forms a thick, gel-like solution in the gut. Overall this is a

Overall this is a great product!! One thing you need to understand when making the “ Quaker Otas Old Fashioned” is that you NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING!! In store prices aren’t too bad compared to the other companies I do recommend to eat. In my opinion these are safer than the “ 1 Minute quick “ ones.

I eat this almost

I eat this almost everyday for breakfast but I do have to be honest and say that just eating it with plain milk is no fun and tastes blend. I would only buy this if your gonna mix it up with choclate protein powder and bananas. Portions are Great and last me about 2 month assuming I eat 80 grams 3 times a week

The only brand of oats that doesn’t make me sick!!

Quaker Oats are the only brand of oats that don’t make me sick! I used to try to eat organic and gluten-free oats because I have Celiac disease, but even organic and gluten-free oats still made me sick even though they claim not to contain wheat. Oats are naturally gluten-free but can be contaminated during processing. Many people don’t also know that gluten-free oats are sometimes higher in a protein found in oats that can trigger similar symptoms as the gluten protein in wheat. Some brands grow specific gluten-free oats that are higher in this oat protein and therefore cause similar Celiac symptoms. Quaker oats, I have found, are the only brand of oats that do not make me sick!!! Despite they’re not organic or gluten-free! They’re always the same quality, consistency, and have been the same since I was a little girl and ate them then. I have no explanation for this except that perhaps the breed of oats they use is just simple and the same as it always has been. They also only make (mostly) oat products with a few exceptions in their cold cereal items. Anyway, these oats are insanely delicious, always delivered promptly and in great shape. The boxes store well in the pantry. Once I open one of the two bags inside, I transport them to large glass mason jars with resealable jars to keep in the pantry. I love Quaker old-fashioned, quick oats, and even buy their organic instant oatmeal sometimes. I wish they still sold their oat bran in stores, but regardless, this oatmeal is top-notch. I will always buy them so long as the quality and consistency remains the same. Sam’s, please bring the old-fashioned in stores instead of just the quick oats you sell in the warehouse! :)

Corn-contamination in the cardboard container?

With all of my allergies (corn, soy, yeast, etc.), I am very limited as to what I can eat. After skin-scratch testing, I am NOT allergic to oats; however, I get a corn-type reaction after eating Quaker's Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats. I do know that corn can be in almost everything, included paper and cardboard. I can only assume that the possible corn contamination is coming from the packaging. Can you recommend anywhere that I can purchase pure rolled oats? If I provide my own glass container, may I purchase the pure oats from your company?

New Flavor

I love quaker oatmeal and awhile back I decided to jazz it up a bit. I added one teaspoon of peanut butter to it after I cooked it in the microwave. It tasted great and now my family is hooked on it too. Have you ever considered making a peanut butter flavor oatmeal?

Why did Quaker remove portion prep?

Hello....I love oatmeal, and in particular old fashioned oats. I normally prep two servings, which Quaker has printed on the container and website. But every now and then I need to prep larger batches. I used to come to the website to find instructions on how to prep larger quantities, but those instructions are gone (or hidden on) from the website. What happened? Can I please have those instructions emailed to me if Quaker is no longer publishing them?
