Allergy Alert-Contains CELERY!

Of all things I would never have expected to see celery in peanuts. Those of us who can't tolerate celery would not be expecting it to be in peanuts. Some of us who can handle peanuts can not handle celery even in tiny amounts. Ingredients: PEANUTS, CONTAINS 2% OR LESS OF: SEA SALT, SPICES (CONTAINS CELERY), DRIED ONION, DRIED GARLIC, PAPRIKA, NATURAL FLAVOR, SUGAR, GELATIN, TORULA YEAST, CORNSTARCH, DRIED CORN SYRUP, MALTODEXTRIN.

Perfectly engineered peanut perfection...mostly

I love these peanuts. They are the best dry-roasted peanuts I’ve ever had. But I shouldn't be surprised. They are the result of probably millions of dollars and decades of food engineering. And for this price? You can't beat 'em. They are incredibly tasty and addictive. And they've got this perfect balance of salty, umami, and just a hint of sweetness that makes them impossible to resist. Trust me. You won't be able to stop eating them. Exactly what they’re supposed to do. But I've gotta get this out. Planters have spent over 100 years perfecting the dry-roasted peanut and it shows. But, seriously, how can they be that good? It's peanuts and salt, right? Ummm, sure. It's got peanuts and salt. And some other things that might surprise you. Here's the ingredients list: • peanuts (of course) • gelatin (aka not vegan) • sea salt • sugar • cornstarch • torula yeast (where the MSG comes from) • maltodextrin • corn syrup solids • paprika • spices (contains celery seed) • natural smoke flavoring • onion powder • garlic powder • salt I get it. I'm not eating these nuts thinking they're all "good for me" or anything. After all, these are not simply dry-roasted peanuts. They are processed foodstuffs. I mean, c'mon. Salt is listed twice, and sugar, albeit in quite small quantities, is added in three ways - sugar, maltodextrin, and corn syrup solids. But before you go and throw out your tin of Planters nuts, hear me out. The nutritional facts are pretty decent. Most of the fats are the good, unsaturated kind, sodium is quite low at only 150mg/serving, and it lists only 1 gram of added sugar. All in all, not bad for occasional snacking. I share this to help others increase their awareness of what goes into their bodies. I try to eat whole, unprocessed foods most of the time. I may hit about 80% on most days, but I still live my life and enjoy a few things that I probably shouldn’t – i.e. eat these nuts. Just not a bunch of them and not all the time. P.S. I will try to make peanut butter out of these beauties, plus, when the tin is empty I save the powder that’s left and use it as a seasoning.

Did you get somebody else to deliver your product

Chains were dented and broke open. It’s nice when somebody pays good money and gets bad product.

Great Product.

We love these dry roasted nuts, they are a great price and I love ordering online and picking up in store! Our Sam's doesn't usually carry them, so it's the way to go for us.

Good Nut!

I really like these nuts - much more so than the Member's Mark brand. It's disappointing that they're not carried in the store any longer. When buying online, I am required to buy 2 cans - VERY disappointing! One can lasts me quite a while, so I want to be sure they are as fresh as possible, which isn't the case when being made to buy an extra can. I hope they will address this issue.

I FOUND them!!

My local Sam's Club stopped carrying the 52 oz. cans of Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts in favor of their own brand. I do NOT like the Sam's Club brand in a plastic container because they are oily and taste like the plastic container. I had LOTS of trouble finding the 52 oz. cans of Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts. I am glad that you carry these online. PLEASE don't phase them out! Best Regards, Deenie Tallant
