I use them in all my deserts, ranging from fudge to cakes to icings and brownies. Not to forget tollhouse cookies and specialty breads. I 've used other "chips" in a pinch but with less degree of tastiness. Generally I only use Nestle's and these are also the morsels I grew up with.

Great in Cookies and other baked goods, but my favorite use is making chocolate ganache. It makes a great frosting. While warm, I use it to dip cupcake tops and it forms a shiny smooth coating. Let it cool and then spread a nice fudgy icing. or let cool, then whip it until it is light and fluffy. Easy to pipe. No added sugar, so it is not too sweet. Add flavoring and and roll into truffles. Always have morsels on hand.

I have preferentially used Nestles chips for years, so much so that I have currently been buying them in the 36 oz bags, since I use one or more of these large bags per batch of cookies/brownies/etc. [example code: BEST BY END APR2019 70915748 1 1 09:49]. Over the past couple of months, I have found (like others recently writing reviews here) that the chips do not melt as they previously did and that they have a different taste. The taste and eating sensation seem to have changed to be more like the flavorless, bitter survival chocolate bars than the creamy, easily melting chocolate present up to last Nov? Dec? I'm unsure whether this reflects the quality (or type?) of chocolate going into the product or something about its manufacture. Until it reverts, I'll be auditioning new chips for a replacement.

Customers at my store are complaining the chips won't melt for their candy making efforts anymore as they did in past years. Have you made changes that reduce the cocoa butter percentage or altered your ingredients to favor retention of chip shape (as for chocolate chip cookies)?

I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. I make cookie dough for my elderly parents often. I used a bag of the semi-sweet and a bag of the milk chocolate to make a batch of cowboy cookies (oatmeal chocolate chip). I usually splurge on ghiradelli, but these were WAY better than I remember and plan on using them again in the future - they were delicious!

I love chocolate and can't get enough, so when I bake or make any dessert I always reach for the chips to give it a little extra kick. I have found that the Nestle Toll House has never let me down, they melt better, and have a more chocolate flavor than other chips on the market. These are not just for chocolate chip cookies!!

I make tons of dozens of these every holiday because they are so darn good. Plus, I make them for my staff, mail lady, sanitation guys, water guy....you get the point. I bake them on a pan that I don't ever use for anything else, bake them at 375, but I only bake them for 7 to 8 minutes. I package them asap to keep them soft.

I have always bought and used Nestle Chips. They are what I grew up with, and have always used the recipe for cookies off the back of the bag. The taste never varies and the quality is always the same...the best. I will continue to buy, bake and enjoy your product.

Why would you change the perfect product? Don't tell me you didn't change the chocolate chips, they definitely taste different and they're gritty. My husband was making chocolate chip cookies and gave me a few chips to eat while the cookies baked, they tasted terrible, I asked what brand they were and he said Nestle, I said are you sure? They are horrible, don't waist your money on them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made a new cookie that I found from my Nestle Toll House Cookbook and wanted to give it a try with the Semi-Sweet Morsels. I made Oatmeal Extravaganzas for the very first time and it was a great hit with my family and friends. I definitely will be making these again, but next time I make them, I will make them as a drop cookie instead of using the pan for the bar cookie. The Semi-Sweet Morsels were absolutely delicious and added such wonderful flavor to the cookie. I made this one to try because my husband's favorite cookie is oatmeal. This cookie satisfies the oatmeal lover and the chocolate lover; it is a fantastic combination. I would highly recommend the Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels versus other brands. I have tried other brands and I just feel the quality of the Toll House brand is at a much higher level than the cheaper brands. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review.
