They melt nicely in the microwave, always taste delicious! Particularly enjoy them in these cookies: 8oz choc chips, melted. Stir in 1 cup spanish peanuts, 1 cup chow mein noodles. Spoon bite size drop onto wax paper on cookie sheet, refrigerate. In a couple hours they are solid and can be stored in a container in refrigerator.

I have been using Nestlte semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips in my recipes for decades. I prefer the taste of Nestle over other chocolates but using these chips in 2 of my last baked holiday treats has left me feeling very disappointed. The chips did not melt they way they should and I baked 2 different basic cookie bar recipes. The first time this happened I put it off to maybe a bad batch etc., now that it happened again I have no alternative but to find an alternative brand moving forward. It will be interesting to see any continuing response by Nestle. In the current competive markets I am befuddled as to why they would risk losing so many consumers like me......recreational bakers who have enjoyed and relied on Nestle to provide a deliciously consistent product year after year and now that brand trust is gone. If this can happened to the tollhouse line of chocolate chips, it can happen with any Nestle products.

My Mother got me hooked on Nestle's Toll House semi sweet chocolate bits. She always used the recipe on the bag for making chocolate chip cookies with chopped walnuts. When I'm not baking with them, i grab a handful to snack on. I love their semi-sweetness.

Just October alone, I used Nestle choc. chips, Nestle butterscotch chips, & Nestle dark chocolate chips! Today's the first of November, & I need to get stocked up to get thru the Thanksgiving - Fall activities! These chips, & all the flavors are so versatile! I've (just last month) put them in Salty Dogs, cookies, pumpkin bread, & they always add that 'just right' flavor, so great for taste, and for looks! :D

My mother and myself have baked with Nestle Semi-Sweet chocolate chips for longer than I can remember and I also eat them daily by themselves because I love them so much and they're my favorite "candy". However, the most recent bag we purchased (which is this new look large bag) 100% tastes different which aligns with other comments about them not melting as well as in the past. After thoroughly comparing the two bags, the only difference I could find is the new bag now says "Includes 8g Added Sugars" under "Sugars" which was previously not there. Is Nestle using a different type of sugar? This is extremely disappointing to me because I do not like the taste nearly as much anymore. It's a sad day :-(

I'll give an old experience here. When my daughter was a baby, think the beginning Christmas 1973, I made these. I didn't overbake them as I remember and they looked like maybe the picture on the bag. My grandmother probably never made them but when she tasted them said they were good, not sure exactly what she said. I just think for the first time they were great.

I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels are some of the best I have used. They have a smooth, creamy texture and a rich, deep chocolate taste. I made chocolate chip cookies (my favorite cookie) with them and was pleased with the way the chocolate barely melted, but still held it's shape in the cookie. I also ate several straight out of the bag and noted that they were smoother than the store brand.

Nestle is our "go to" brand for chips of various flavors. As the grandkids grow they are more adventuresome than just chocolate morsels. So we have added lots of recipes in our family recipe box and the kids help with the baking ( thats the best part). They are already planning the holiday baking schedule for this year. I recently baked the Magic Cookie bar for my daughters volleyball team, I have never seen girls get so excited about eating a cookie bar. I used Nestle semi-sweet, white chocolate, dark chocolate and butterscotch morsels. They were oohing and awing with each bite.
