Great chips miss the coupons

I love these chips, especially the dark chocole, the minis, and the chunks. I depended on the coupons the make buying my winter supply of approximately 25 bags more affordable. This year I had to use hersheys due to price. Very sad, but the wallet rules when talking about these quantities.

Major problems with semi-sweet chips

I think they changed something in the ingredients or source. I've had major problems with these semi-sw choc chips for the last year or so & have stopped using them. Have wasted a lot of time and money on fudge recipe that used to work like a dream. This is a recipe we have used for over 45 years and have never had problems with it. I've literally made this recipe hundreds of times. Now the chips don't melt completely, no matter how long you cook them. This recipe requires essentially boiling evap milk, butter and marshmallows for like 5 min, removing the pan from the heat and stirring in the chocolate chips. What results now are little gritty pieces of chocolate that don't melt....even if you put it back on the stove. Gross. I have had this problem w/ a couple others brands too so am going to try some organic chocolatechips now. What is wrong with this company that you change a very basic ingredient known to bakers world-wide. I assume this is some cost-saving move. So guess what...you won't EVER get my money again....for any of your chocolate chips. Have you cut them with dirt? It's shameful.

We have not changed our chocolate recipe. Chocolate does, however, have a very low melting point and scorches easily when exposed to excessive heat, such as baking temperatures in an oven. We'd like to speak with you further, so please expect a message from us shortly.,Consumer Engagement Center,Michael, clientresponse

Best Chips in the Universe#(

Chocolate Chip Cookies cannot be made without Nestle Chocolate Chips! A well-rounded supply is in my pantry, available for baking (or just a scoop to mouth) as needed. Dark Chocolate has become the new favorite, and a blend of Dark Chocolate and a second Chip of choice is awesome too!

The Best

Nestle's semi-sweet morsels are the best I have found for chocolate chip cookies. The morsel retains its shape during the baking process and I really like that. My family even likes eating them straight from the bag (maybe that means I should make cookies more often)!

Tollhouse Semi-Sweet Baking Chips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made Oatmeal Extravaganzas with this product and they turned out delicious. Something that I would make again. I received this product for free and my opinions are of my own. This product is very trustworthy and rich and creamy as it claims. I would definitely buy this product and have and will continue to do so. My recipes turn out great. I also made the Original Toll House Cookie with it, and they are so delicious!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM

I love Nestle Toll House cookies, but I've kicked them up a notch by adding Dark Chocolate Morsels, and switching up something else to make them chewy. Thank you for the great coupon. Will always use NESTLE CHOCOLATE for all baking needs. Thank you, Katherine

The fudge got rave reviews!

I have read reviews on here that say the chocolate chips dont melt, etc...i had absolutely no problem getting them to melt when I made this fudge recipe. The fudge was creamy and smooth. The people I gave it to as gifts asked for my recipe and said it was the best fudge they ever had. Im even making another batch right now. Thanks Tollhouse! :)

Try the Mini Morsels Too

I make my chocolate chip cookies with Pillsbury gluten-free flour with great results. As far as some of the comments concerning the taste changing over the years I have several thoughts. First, they must be stored at room temperature and if they have been improperly transported or stored incorrectly, melted and re-solidified or if they are old they do not taste the same. Also, I think that things always taste better in memory somehow! I use the mini morsels to make smaller cookies and get more chocolate per bite!

So much more delicious!

I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips have been my go-to for the past 30 years. I know what they taste like. However, this new recipe is SO GOOD! The chocolate, in my opinion, is less grainy and much smoother. I used these in an oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chip cookie recipe and they were a total hit!
