I use them in all my deserts, ranging from fudge to cakes to icings and brownies. Not to forget tollhouse cookies and specialty breads. I 've used other "chips" in a pinch but with less degree of tastiness. Generally I only use Nestle's and these are also the morsels I grew up with.

I have used this product for YEARS and am always happy with whatever I bake using it. But . . . in the last few years, the bag has shrunk in weight. And the price has almost doubled! The recipe for Nestle chocolate chip cookies hasn't changed but the amount of chips in the bag has. You need to buy 2 bags to get enough chips in your cookies. It's all about the $$$.

For 35 years I've been making fudge with this brand. No more. After numerous attempts, the conclusion is the product has indeed changed and literally ruins the fudge as it won't melt. I have no clue what you've done, but I won't be using Nestle again.

I make mom's fudge recipe the 5lb batch every year. I usually make 30-35lb during the holidays. I have tried other brands of semi sweet chips and found them to produce an inferior product. I now only use Nestles because I can depend on outstanding product results.

You can't beat classic Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips. They are perfectly melty and just the right amount of sweet to make any dessert shine (like the chocolate chip banana bread pudding I recently made). Our family is full of bakers, from my 10 year old daughter all the way to my great grandma (although not as much, but she has taught us a lot!). We have tried all manner of brands throughout the year, and none of them can even compare to Nestle Toll House Semi- Sweet Chocolate Morsels especially in Grandma's Fudge!!

I grew up using these in cookies, and now (many years later!) share the joy of these fabulous chocolate chips with my grandchildren. Whenever they are over they look in the pantry for these iconic chocolate chips and ask if we can make cookies. Wouldn't be without them!

Still the best for making the classic chocolate chip cookies while being easy to use in any recipe that uses semisweet chocolate. I use semi sweet morsels for so much, to make fudge, to put in m brownies to make tall house cookies and even in the peanut butter cookies and oatmeal ones. We also love the peanut butter ones as that is our favorite flavor peanut butter is a household staple here. When using for frostings it is just great i just love them .

I made fudge following last year's successful recipe. As others have mentioned here, this year the Nestle morsels don't seem to melt completely. When adding the morsels, the mixture turned grainy and the chips were very difficult to melt & incorporate. The resulting fudge is very sugary with a poor texture. This was a rather expensive "experiment" and produced a poor product.
