I have always bought and used Nestle Chips. They are what I grew up with, and have always used the recipe for cookies off the back of the bag. The taste never varies and the quality is always the same...the best. I will continue to buy, bake and enjoy your product.

I used the semi-sweet morsels in my go to recipe of chocolate chip cookies. The morsels seemed a little less sweet and more creamy than the store bought brand I had been using. My family personally likes the less sweet variety, so this was great! They had just enough "melt" to them, so you still could bite into a chip. I would definitely buy Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chips again! I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.

The chocolate chip recipe on the back of the bag has been my standby for at least 50 years. I was our family of 8's cookie maker and have been using Nestle's semi-sweet morsels since the 70's. I've tried other brands but they never measure up to Nestle's.

I wanted to make chocolate covered strawberrys,what a disaster! Two cups of morsels would not melt in the microwave they turned into a powdery consistency. I threw it out. Next I used a double boiler ,they also would not melt!! I'm wondering if your products change to now being "partially produced with genetic engineering" has ruined what used to be my only choice for my own chocolate cookie recipe. I do not want to use these chips again!

My family calls for cookies often and they always want chocolate chip. These are the perfect morsels for the very particular tastes of my family! They strike the most excellent balance between "hold their shape" and "gooey when they're fresh from the oven," so these are the ones I stock up on every time. Also, my kitchen always has a small canister of morsels off to the side for a little chocolate pick-me-up every now and then!

I looked on this site to see if others had had the same issues as me with trying to get the semi-sweet chocolate chips to melt. I have tried multiple methods over the course of several weeks trying to get these to melt for different projects but to no avail. Even over a double boiler with no moisture in the chocolate and added vegetable oil they won't melt properly! The chocolate seems to seize but unlike typical chocolate that has been overheated and seized it's not gritty it just is stiff and difficult to work with. Works okay when added to cookies etc. but I will not try to use these again for melting. Very disappointed.

My favorite choice for chocolate chip cookies for four plus decades was Nestles. Recently, my store began stocking Ghiradelli and I was surprised at their superior taste. They are more expensive, so I still use both brands depending upon the end product. This probably is not what you wanted to hear. Ghiradelli are smoother and less waxy tasting, in my opinion.

I'm a home baker with a business. I used these chips hundreds of times. Recently their performance makes them unusable. They melt but anytime I add butter to the melted chocolate it seizes up. Tried added corn syrup. Seized again. Burned through an entire big bag, completely wasted. Sad. I'm switching to something else for my business.
