- 1 out of 5 stars review11/28/2021I've made the same chocolate frosting for birthday cakes for over 20 years without a problem. The last few times, the frosting would not set up well enough, and it slides down the side of the cake. Not a good look, to say the least. It also doesn't taste as fudgy. I just noticed the bag says "Now richer and creamier." Is this why my frosting is failing?
Chocolate frosting not setting up.

I tried "store brand" and other brands of choc chips to save a bit of money, but my cookies always tasted a bit off. Went back to Nestle, things are perfect again. My cookies turned out so well that our contractor actualy asked for the recipr for his wife. Success!
The Absolute Best
ConniezOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/21/2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought, that this is a great product and I'm going to keep on buying this product and this the only brand I use to make all kinds of baked goods that I love to bake and I told everyone I know how good this product is and they tried the baked goods that I made and they are buying this product now
Great Product
Emily R LOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/28/2019While I do use these to make delicious chocolate chip cookies among other scrumptious treats especially around the holidays, I much more frequently devour entire bags at a time when I am stressed/depressed, so I would like to thank ya'll for being there through thick and thin. I have made it through many a finals week with you by my side. The taste is unmatched and the joy it brings me, unparalleled. I, as a loyal costumer, have for a time been wondering what inspired/caused the "New Look" of the packaging. Is the new packaging more sustainable? More cost efficient? An attempt to boost sales? While it has had absolutely no bearing on my consumer habits concerning this product, good or otherwise, I am a curious being and therefore wish to kn...
Delectable and Unparalleled
Lauren456Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review10/20/2019I am adding my two cents to everyone else who has discovered Nestle's betrayal--changing chocolate chips without a word to anyone. I discovered the change last fall when I started holiday baking, and I am searching for a new brand to use this winter. I am recommending to my granddaughter, now baking for her own family, that she never use Nestle chocolate chips. They do not melt, ruining recipes that call for melted chocolate chips.
Now garbage

I make chocolate chip cookies probably twice a month and honestly the only chips I can use are Toll House they love the flavor the gooey melt and texture! Only chips in my house!!
Toll house is the best
Mommafeck1Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017Making chocolate chip cookies, you MUST use Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chips! Trying it with store bought brand chips, they turned out awful, no flavor, and no one wanted them. So from now on, I won't skimp on chips and try to save money, because in the end, I lost more.
Only the best will do!
ChgomomOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I have used Nestles baking chocolates for years. I wish I could tell you my favorite but I! I love and use all of them from the morsels to the baking bars!! I stock up every year after new years because by the time Jan 2nd gets here I have used all of them! The y are a staple for me!
Wonderful!!!
bigsis254bOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017Whether I'm making quick breads from scratch, pancakes, muffins, cakes, and more, adding Nestles' morsels ramps up the flavor! When giving out baked goods for Christmas, recipients always rave about how they enjoy the flavor which the morsels add to the item.
Tasty, versatile product
JoniM1Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review12/21/2019I've Nestles morsels exclusively for all my holiday baking for decades but this year, they won't melt. Fudge and peppermint patties and peanut butter balls all ruined. Please change the recipe and consistency back! I'm so disappointed as is my family who has come to expect perfect holiday treats.
Different recipe?? Won't melt!

At Christmas I dip Pretzels in melted chocolate Nestle chips. Then drizzle melted Nestle White Chocolate onto the coated Chocolate Pretzels. I bag the Pretzels in bags tie with ribbon and they are sold at our Annual Christmas Bazaar.
Chocolate Delight
DdteaOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017I have been baking for over 45 years. I have used other brands of chips and other flavors (butterscotch, white chocolate etc.) In all my years there is no other brand like Nestle's to compare! Nestle Chips are the best!! The best part is it won't cost you a mortgage payment!!
There is no other!!!
Grammy1206Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/15/2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Semi Sweet Morsels for my homemade brownie recipe! My brownies were extra rich because of the added morsels! I received this product for free for the purpose of of my review, all opinions my own.
I LOVE LOVE NESTLE TOLL HOUSE SEMI SWEET MORSELS
JJOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I have purchased and used many different brands of chocolate chips. I always seem to compare them to Nestles and am disappointed when they do not measure up. At this point, I don't bother even trying the other brands but instead stick with the tried and true delicious Nestles morsels!
THE Best!
ShellyKOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017We were recently in Florida and had a craving for chocolate chip cookies. My sister and I went to the store and purchased the ingredients and went home and started baking. We baked a few cookies at a time so we could enjoy hot cookies straight from the oven. I enjoy using all the chips available. I bake Oatmeal Skotchies, Chocolate cookies with the white chips, Peanut Butter chips in white or chocolate cookies. I will use them all and try anything at least once.
Just Needed a Chocolate Chip Cookie
1 GramsOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017Nestles Semi-sweet Morsels are a staple in my pantry. Of course Toll House chocolate chip cookies are a favorite of my husband and three sons. Whenever I want to add just a bit more chocolate to any of my recipes, I add a handful of Nestles Chocolate Morsels.
Yummy
Peg67Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I only use Nestles chips. BUT I REALLY wish you would bring the raspberry flavored ones back. I used them with your standard chocolate chip cookie recipe, using black walnuts, and my children, grand children and great grand children loved them. They still ask for them every Christmas.
Perfection!
NananOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I've been a home baker for almost 30 years! This is the only brand I'll buy when making dessert and sweet snacks for any of my 6 kids! I recently baked 160 chocolate, chocolate chip cookies for my son who's 25 to take to work for his Halloween party! Rave reviews to say the least! I'm a loyal fan of Nestle's!
Best semi-sweet flavor around!
DaisieWOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review1/19/2020I have used your semi sweet morsels for years! From chocolate chip cookies, homemade fudge, no bake cookies..etc. The morsels are not melting the same, not holding together..its a crumbled ugly mess! What did you change? I rely on a consistancy product for my business of baking and I am absolutely disappointed..especially after being such a committed customer! Do NOT change the white chocolate chips as I use those as well! Whatever you changed PLEASE change it back!!
Somethings wrong!

Even tried slowly melting in the stove, one bag turned out to be semi usable, the other "melted" into a strange chalky paste. This recipe is a Christmas staple in my family and this super easy recipe is no longer easy due to these different chocolate chips. :(
Won't melt!
