- 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I use Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips every time I have a recipe that calls for chocolate chips. I will often times add them to recipes even when they are not called for. I love to experiment from time to time but adding different ingredients to cakes, cupcakes, cookies and bread recipes. Nestle chips are always good and of good quality. My kids and co-workers love chocolate so Semi-sweet, milk chocolate and white chocolate chips are always on hand so I can add them. It's very rare that I don't have any on hand for inclusion in my baking.
Who doesn't love chocolate?
wheels59Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I love to have these semi-sweet morsels in my home always. Of course for baking but also put few in overnight-oats or sometimes you need a little chocolate fix and a few in the palm of your hands to pop in your mouth. All you need is a few. No candy bar needed. If I get in the mood for café mocha, I drop a few in my coffee. Yum. Nestle Semi-Sweet are not just for baking.
Helps Those Cravings!
tstolariOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/25/2019The toll house pie is a must every Thanksgiving. My sister in law has a large family that join together for the holiday. Since I work on the holiday I cook something for her to take. Chocolate is a stable for them. This pie is fought over. I now send several over but someone always tries to hide one to take home to their house. Easy to make and always a hit at party
Thanksgiving tradition
LindasOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017There is a reason Nestles' Toll House chips are everyone's first choice. They are a great addtional to any chocolate chip or just chocolate recipe. They taste great, they melt evenly and completely. You can eat them straight out of the bag to satisfy your chocolate craving. They don't always cost more than generic BUT they are worth more.
There Is A Reason
tawana1956Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review12/20/2019I have been making the same fudge for thirty years and have always used Toll house chips. They don't melt any more. I kept cooking it to melt the chips and ended up with this hard dry mess and still the chips had not melted. Gave up and used Guittard chips and it came out beautiful!
Fudge Ruined !
MapleOriginally posted onverybestbaking.comverybestbakingpwrThanks for using our chips over the years for your fudge recipe. We're sorry to hear that they didn't melt properly this year... - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017Whenever I break out the baking ingredients the ONLY morsels I use are NESTLES. I use them to bake all types of cookies, brownies and dipped pretzels (of all types). I even love all of the variety of flavors available. All of my family and friends can't wait for either bake sales I run for my Non-profit or for the Holidays to arrive (pretty much any Holiday) because delicious cookies plus are not far behind.
So LOVE these morsels
jangel407Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I use these in everything from pancakes to pumpkin cake rolls. There creamy and have the perfect balance of sweet in them to keep them from being sickeningly sweet. Can't ask for any better! Perfect with Reese's peanut butter cups, shredded coconut and almonds on graham cookie bars!!
Wonderful
MissiOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/14/2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Nestlé Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Morsels complimentary to give my honest review. This product is very oversized and I made alot of chocolate chips cookies with this. I still have alot left over. I will use it for my pancakes and toppings on my ice cream
Great product
AndyOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/17/2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the semi-sweet morsels to bake my favorite chocolate chip cookies! They added the perfect chocolate flavor to the buttery base. Definitely a quality product that I will be using again and recommending to everyone!
Semi-sweet at its finest!
NICURN0410Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review5/5/2016All my life I have baked with Nestle's chocolate chips and Nestle's alone. My brothers and I would eat them straight out of the bag on many occasions, much to my mother's dismay. Now when I do this, one taste is enough. They remind me of the fake, solid chocolate Easter eggs wrapped in colored foil that would be bought because they were cheap, but no one would eat them. I guess I'll have to find a new chocolate chip to bake with!
Flavor of chocolate chips is definitely different
TyconmomOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017My mother has baked Nestle Toll House Cookies for as long as I can remember. They are, in fact, the best tasting cookie I have ever had. I am now 54 years old and when my mother asks what I would like for Christmas I always ask for a batch of Toll House Cookies, It wouldn't be the Holidays without them.
A Taste of Home

All opinions are my own." We love nestle tollhouse chocolate chips for baking chocolate chip cookies or lately chocolate mouse pies! They have great flavor and bake well.
Love this product
Tigg94Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017Anytime I make chocolate chip cookies with Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips the cookies are amazing!!! I've even used them in my brownies for that "extra" chocolate kick. I wouldn't use any other brand of chocolate chips because the melting factor and gooey goodness of Nestle's chocolate chips is superior to others on the market(and I've tried a few). Love this product and so does my baking!!
Chocolate!!!
LLaneOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review12/16/2019I thought I was crazy last year when I was making my Christmas cracker toffee. Tried again this year to experience the same no melt disaster. Even tried slowly melting in the stove, one bag turned out to be semi usable, the other "melted" into a strange chalky paste. This recipe is a Christmas staple in my family and this super easy recipe is no longer easy due to these different chocolate chips. :(
Won't melt!
Sn55Originally posted onverybestbaking.comverybestbakingpwrWe're sorry to hear that the morsels didn't melt properly this year. We haven't made any changes to the recipe we use to make... - 2 out of 5 stars review3/29/2020This makes the second time I've made a dish with these chocolate chips and both experiences I've been extremely sick! So sick I can't even think straight for the next 24 hours. I can eat ANY other chocolate, drink hot chocolate, But this one... something isn't right.
Something is wrong...
JuliuhhhhhhOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review4/17/2019I have been making the fudge recipe (the one with marshmallow cream) and toll house cookies for 60 years. Today, your chocolate chips only 1/2 melted when making the fudge. WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM? Please don't give us some pacifying answer. We are not stupid cooks! We know when a product has changed. Like the others have posted, I will now go to another brand for any recipes that call for chocolate chips! Kathy
Total disappointment!
KonaKathyOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 2 out of 5 stars review12/21/2024I bake thousands of cookies every year and always relied on Nestle semi-sweet chips for my chocolate needs. In recent years I have had failure after failure on recipes I've been baking for decades. The chips just don't melt the way they used to. This year was a record 10 pounds of chocolate ruined despite constant temperature testing and humidity monitoring. I had better luck buying couverture chocolate and tempering it than following age-old recipes calling for chips. Whatever you changed, please change it back.
Starting my search for a new go-to chocolate for baking
ErvOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017My favorite cookie in the world is Nestle Toll House. And I have tried making them with other brands of chocolate chips. Not so good. There is definitely a difference, and Nestle Chocolate Chips are so much better! They are smoother and the taste is unbeatable. I love them!
Best Chocolate Chips Ever!
bdink1223Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017No surprises because all nestle baking morsels are to die for. My kids and I use them all. Morsels for homemade and frozen for those times you gotta have cookies now. I miss the liquid chocolate too. But. When you bake for school or bake sale gotta to have nestle chips.
Scrumptious over and over
