We love nestle tollhouse chocolate chips for baking chocolate chip cookies or lately chocolate mouse pies! They have great flavor and bake well.
Love this product
Tigg94Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017Anytime I make chocolate chip cookies with Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet chocolate chips the cookies are amazing!!! I've even used them in my brownies for that "extra" chocolate kick. I wouldn't use any other brand of chocolate chips because the melting factor and gooey goodness of Nestle's chocolate chips is superior to others on the market(and I've tried a few). Love this product and so does my baking!!
Chocolate!!!
LLaneOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/22/2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the semi-sweet morsels in my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. The morsels packed my cookie with loads of flavor! The kids loved the cookies and I will definitely be using again. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.
Semi-Sweet Sweetness
HighlanddragonOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017I have used Nestle Tool House Chocolate Chips since I was a little girl learning to bake. They make the best Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. I use them in my Cowboy Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies and when I need melted Chocolate for dipping. I have tried other brands, but always come back to Nestle.
Excellent Chocolate Chips
mktgyrOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017I have been eating these chocolate morsels since I discovered it was chocolate as a child. My mom didn't by candy so I would eat the chocolate chips. No matter where they were hide I could find them. When it was cookie making time she would ask who has been eating the chocolate chips? To this day I will not buy any other brand but Nestle semi chocolate morsels. The taste is always the same and they bake into oatmeal cookies beautifully.
Eating them all my life.
Kara PIOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I have used a variety of Nestle products since I was a small child, and I have loved everything I have tried, but I especially love traditional semi-sweet chocolate chips. I also very much enjoy the recipes I get on the website. Keep up the good work!
Such a great product!
cakebaker 65Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review10/10/2024I have always used Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips for my cookies, but no more. Not since I discovered they have a bio-engineered ingredient, which is probably a chemical called Pyrazine, which makes any food or substance addictive and is not good for your health. Same addictive chemical that is in cigarettes!!
No more Nestle Chocolate Chips
SisterOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/14/2024The Nestles toll house semi-sweet morsels are one of the best. I made the best chocolate chip cookies using these chips. They are 100% real chocolate and have no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives in them. I enjoyed baking with these sweet morsels!
Great semi-sweet morsels!
smilesofmeOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017I always keep at least one bag in my pantry to either make toll house cookies or to add to other recipes to elevate them. I melt them to make fudge, drizzle them over sweet banana bread or make Christmas crack any time of the year. I also eat them right out of the bag but don't tell anyone.
My go-to
BonstuOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review12/15/2019For years my family has used your semi sweet chocolate chips for recipes during the holidays and throughout the year. Never had an issue, always coming out perfect. This year however, when making toffee, the chocolate wouldn't melt or spread. We tried multiple times, thinking it had to be the oven, but all 6 batches came out ruined. What a disappointment and shame that this chocolate chip recipe seems to have changed. Will be looking for a new chocolate for future.
What happened to your semi sweet chocolate chips?!

I've also been pleased with the results in using them in other recipes like brownies and fudge. I always have a bag on hand for baking for my family and friends.
A Baking Staple
AngelaOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017The taste and quality of Nestle Toll House Morsels always ensures anything you bake will be delicious and enjoyed by all. I have never had to worry about it tasting good. My family's favorite has been and still is Chocolate Chip Cookies made with Nestle Toll House Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels.
Nestle Toll House Morsels
LewisOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 4 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017I will never stop using Nestle Toll House morsels, although Nestle says that nothing in their recipe has changed I find that that can not be true. For years, yes I said years I've had no trouble microwaving these wonderful chocolate chips but this past Easter, when making chocolate covered eggs I could not get the chips to melt to a useable melted texture. I ruined more than one bag of chips. It now requires much more babysitting sorry to say. And just so you know I have not changed microwaves.
Not quite like they used to be!
AnnieErieOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/31/2017As a "responsible" grandma, my granddaughter and I don't always make sweets together, but when we do, a great chocolate chip cookie includes Nestles Semi Sweet and Nestlés Milk Chocolate Chips. We have such fun mixing up the dough and baking assorted size cookies. Plus my granddaughter gets to take home some of her own creation and share with Mom and Dad. Mmmm memories.
None Better
Gingerpeachy907Originally posted onverybestbaking.com - 2 out of 5 stars review12/18/2015This is not actually a new problem. I actually noticed this happening five or ten years ago. Your morsels WILL NOT FULLY MELT in the family fudge recipe that has been used for over fifty years. If I waited until they were fully melted the fudge would be too cold to pour out of the kettle. When did you change the melting point of the chips and WHY??? I suspect you wanted to improve their behavior in cookies, which is fine I suppose, but I have had to adjust my standards for fudge to include small intractable lumps of chocolate in what should have a smooth mouthfeel.
Won't melt in fudge recipe

This year I've used Nestle and I just cannot get the semi sweet chocolate chips to melt, and I've made it several times trying to figure out what the problem is. I read review after review of people that are having the same problems, yet you say that you have made no changes. Well, you clearly have, we aren't all stupid! It's really frustrating to purchase something thinking its what you need just to find out you spent good money on garbage! If you aren't going to sell chocolate that we consumers need then we will go elsewhere! Buying cheaper ingredients isn't going to get you anywhere. People clearly see the changes and are very unhappy. If you...
Extremely disappointed
Lover of ChocolateOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/1/2017My family and I LOVE Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels! When we make homemade chocolate chip cookies with them, I feel like I am providing a healthier version of our favorite snack, my 9 year old daughter is proud to help me bake and the three older boys are ecstatic to help "taste" the dough!
homemade fun for my family!
JennSOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/6/2017Nestle chips are the only chips that I will use when baking. My favorite are the mini Nestle chips. My second favorite would be the chocolate chunks. However, I buy all different Nestle chips in all different flavors. Thank you Nestles for making the perfect chips!
The best chips ever.
MarmarOriginally posted onverybestbaking.com - 1 out of 5 stars review5/29/2016I always make Carnation fudge at Christmas (5 batches) and Memorial Day (2). Never had an issue and always appreciated. Last Christmas I couldn't get the chips in any of the batches to completely melt, leaving a lumpy mess instead of the nice smooth texture i'm used to. The receivers asked if I'd used a different recipe. They want what they'd had for so many years. This Memorial Day I tried the mini morsals, thinking smaller should melt better. Didn't happen. I thought I was going crazy til I came across this site. Why are so many cooks having the identical issue if nothing has changed at your end? My suggestion is for you to go back to the start of these complaints to identify the causation, fix it, and make us all happy cooks again. What ...
