At room temp the morsels are consistently creamy to melt, fold or sprinkle on top. The classic semi-sweet flavor has a wonderful balance of chocolate, sweetness and vanilla.

They have the perfect blend of sweetness, creaminess, and texture. I use the recipe on the bag for my chocolate chip cookies and they come out perfect every time. This is the perfect chip for baking, desserts and breads. I love the quality of these chips.

This year, all my cookies were flat. I don't melt my butter, swapped out baking soda just in case it was too old, and used different pans. I always follow the recipe exactly. Did Nestle change their recipe? I am very disappointed.

But I just baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies using you new creamier chips, and they taste awful. I had to discard the entire batch of cookies because the chocolate chips do not taste good and they have an unpleasant texture. My time baking the cookies was wasted - and the cookies were supposed to be part of a birthday gift, so now I have to figure out something else to make. My entire family agrees - the chips taste bad and the cookies are ruined. I'm very disappointed. Please go back to the way you used to make the chocolate chips... and let me know when you do, so I can begin purchasing them again. Thank you.

They have a perfect amount of sweet and bitter qualities, and are better than many other brands like Hershey's morsels. They melt well and also hold there chip shape when you desire that shape, like for choc chip cookies.

Thought maybe I'd gotten a stale bag of Nestle's Semi-Sweet morsels but the date is good thru Fall 2019. Chips were flavorless - my cookies were terrible. Looks like others have had the same issue. Also the amount of chips in the bag is less. Had to switch brands (have used Nestle chips since I was a kid.)

I put chocolate chips in cookies, brownies, breads, cakes and I have been known to add some to Ice cream as it is churning. The chocolate won't melt and my cookies are terrible. I made a batch a couple of nights ago and I didn't care for them - not gooy. I had a bag of giradelli in the pantry so tried that with the same recipie and the cookies came out like they use to. Tried another batch tonight with nestles thinking I must have done something wrong and they did not come out right. Same recipie same ingredients. I use one stick margarine and one stick butter. Same as for years. Will not be buying any more nestles. I don't know what they have done but I can't get the results like I want.
So Disappointed!

Now I won't eat the chips or the cookies as, to my taste, the chips have an unappealing, slightly coconut-oil flavor that they never used to have. I've just noticed this new taste over the last year or so. It is evident to me from tasting the chips themselves, as well as in the taste of cookies made by others who have used Nestle chips. Hoping Nestle can rectify this.

Place on 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper and Bake at 375 degrees 9 to11 min. Makes 5 dos. Yummy

These are not the same chips I've eaten all my life! The color has changed. The taste has changed. They used to be very dark...almost black, and they were more bitter and chocolaty.
