I've been baking for 50+ years. The semi sweet chocolate chips now have a horrible taste. Something changed a while back. Right about the time packaging changed to a more robust plastic. Package materials are different and the bag states "now creamier." They do not taste the same!! They do not melt the same way!! I kept trying them, thinking I just got a bad batch. I make chocolate chip cookies every few weeks. I'm sorry to say I will not be buying them again

I am leaving this review after reading others who have said the same thing - the chocolate does not melt as smooth as it use to. I have been making this same cookie recipe for 25 years. I melt the semi-sweet morsels in a double-boiler and the texture is still clumpy. I am well-skilled in using this method and the product had definitely changed. I won't say my cookies are ruined, because with their texture, I can get away with it. I will look for an alternate product for future baking.

When I think of Nestle Tollhouse Morsels it brings back lots of memories.I remember my Mom, my sister and I baking cookies every holiday season and on those moments just because. We had such a good time. We would make dozens and dozens at Christmas time to give as gifts or the big annual Roman Family Christmas dinner the Sunday before Christmas. I also remember a time or two we halved amount of the chips to make them stretch during the tough times. I have been able to create great memories with my children and soon to create those with my grandchildren. My kids have been lucky, there is always a package of Tollhouse Chocolate Chip ready to bake cookie dough in the refrigerator for those just because moments. Thank you for being a part of my life Tollhouse!

Instead of saying 100% real chocolate, which is misleading and a flat out lie, they should say the percent of cacao. With the first ingredient being sugar, it is far less than 50%. Plus there are other garbage ingredients. Safeway sells their own brand which are 55% cacao - much better!

I know the recipe by heart and make it often for gifts, occasions, etc. I choose to melt the butter, cook the cookies for 8 min. at 375 degrees, and they come out so chewy, which we prefer. I've used other morsels, and they don't have the same texture and taste.

Purchased 4 bags to prepare favors for my daughter's birthday party. Little did I know that I would actually end up wasting 2 whole bags and just gave up on my sweet treat. The morsels didn't melt. They were chunky and crumbly. I even attempted to melt them in my small chocolate dipper adding a drop of oil, with hopes that it would melt .... that didn't happen . I'm usually one who uses only nestle, but I may have to change brands if this is what my end result will be. Money wasted, but the "sweet crumbs" sure did make the kids happy. Please check into this nestle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to follow the recipes on the label of these semi-sweet chips, and off I went. I started with the classic Nestlé Toll House Cookies. I have an abundance of walnuts, which i never cook with, so I added them. They turned out delicious!! My husband couldn't chew the nuts and I ended up eating them all myself (not all at once). I enjoyed every one. I tried again, without the walnuts this time. Best cookies ever!! I only had a few of those, it was only fair. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. I buy your Toll House morsels on my weekly shopping trip. My husband loves the milk chocolate they best. I make cookies all the time. We eat them right out of the bag and I have to use two bags to get the flavor we love. Have been using your product for many years.
