Absolutely delicious

Toll house semi-sweet chocolate chips are a kitchen staple in our house. We love chocolate and always choose to bake a recipe that contains these chips. They are also wonderful eaten by themselves as a little chocolate pick me up. I am 52 years old and have eaten these all of my life, no substitutes allowed!

Something different

I've ALWAYS used Nestle chips. I've made chocolate covered peanut butter balls at Christmas for years. Always melt the chips in my double boiler and dunk them in there. Then refrigerate. Usually when I take them out of the refrigerator & put on a tray for parties they're fine for a long time. This year the chocolate got soft after just a few minutes! Very disappointing!

Semi-sweet morsels

I recently had the opportunity to receive a free sample of NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels. I used to consistently use semi-sweet morsels for baking but have tended towards milk chocolate morsels for the better part of a decade. The semi-sweet morsels are dark brown in color, formed into traditional flat-bottomed mini rounded pyramid-like shapes with a tiny twist or curl at the top. Opening the bag, I was immediately engulfed by the luscious deep smell of chocolate, not unlike that of walking into a homemade fudge candy store. The taste of the morsel matches the smell. It is full of chocolate flavor without being cloyingly sweet. I used the morsels to make chocolate chip cookies with walnuts and dried cranberries. The semi-sweet flavor balanced perfectly with the sugar of the dried cranberries, adding just the right note of slight bitterness. This reintroduction to semi-sweet chocolate morsels has encouraged me to add them to my baking pantry and incorporate them more into my recipes. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. #freesample

THE MORSEL IS TOO SMALL AND DOESN'T TASTE GOOD

As like many others, I have baked cookies and fudge for more than 40 years and since you have changed the taste and size of the semi-sweet morsel, my cookies do not taste good, and the morsels don't melt in order to make my fudge. Your response does not match what we see and taste. Just go back to your original product. I think I speak for all of us unhappy with your new morsels when I say, BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT, PLEASE!

Everyone having same problem. Something has chang

I always make Carnation fudge at Christmas (5 batches) and Memorial Day (2). Never had an issue and always appreciated. Last Christmas I couldn't get the chips in any of the batches to completely melt, leaving a lumpy mess instead of the nice smooth texture i'm used to. The receivers asked if I'd used a different recipe. They want what they'd had for so many years. This Memorial Day I tried the mini morsals, thinking smaller should melt better. Didn't happen. I thought I was going crazy til I came across this site. Why are so many cooks having the identical issue if nothing has changed at your end? My suggestion is for you to go back to the start of these complaints to identify the causation, fix it, and make us all happy cooks again. What does a company have if it doesn't have Brand loyalty? BTW Why did you EVER discontinue the Mint flavored? There's also been a lot of complaints regarding that change!

Great tasting and versatile.

The morsels not only make some of the best chocolate chip cookies, but you can melt them to dip cookies of all kinds in to fancy cookies, use them to dip berries, nuts, and pretzels. Add them into your popcorn, sprinkle on ice cream, use in trail mix, make a lovely ganache, the possibilities are limitless.

Perfect 'chew'

When sprinkled on top of a dessert, then placed back into the oven, most Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels soften. Once cooled, your dessert chew is firmer and more wide spread with the softening and spreading of the morsels. It was a delightful discovery for me.

Ingredients have changed

I'm not sure how after reading all these reviews Nestle says that haven't changed a thing. I mostly eat a few chips a night. I like to eat two at a time and let them melt in my mouth. The taste has changed. I swear they have coconut oil in them. The taste is not good. I will not be buying these chips anymore. I will miss the old Nestle chips.

Best Smore's Dip Ever!

Created a Halloween Smore's Dip using Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips. Poured them into a metal pie pan and baked them at 300 degrees until they were soft. I stirred them and smoothed them on the bottom of the pieplate then placed PEEP white ghosts on top. Placed this under the broiler for a few minutes until the marshmallows had started to melt and brown. Served it with graham crackers. The dip was gone very quickly. Since PEEP makes marshmallows for every holiday, you can create this dip year round..but make sure you use the very best chocolate chips - NESTLE semi-sweet morsels!!!!!

Taste terrible!

Why would you change the perfect product? Don't tell me you didn't change the chocolate chips, they definitely taste different and they're gritty. My husband was making chocolate chip cookies and gave me a few chips to eat while the cookies baked, they tasted terrible, I asked what brand they were and he said Nestle, I said are you sure? They are horrible, don't waist your money on them.
