I have been using Ziploc bags for over 40 years. Every once in a while during those years I would try another brand and immediately realize why I buy Ziploc brand, they are perfect...well, they used to be...What happened? They will not stay closed! I have a box of 280 bags and so far there have been more that won't close then will. I thought it was a fluke, a random bad batch, but after reading the reviews I think it is an ongoing problem. I have come to the conclusion that I can save money by purchasing the cheap ones at the dollar store instead of spending a premium price for inferior bags.

Ziplock certainly made these bags easier to open and I find them easy to close. What I have a problem with is that the thickness of the bag itself has changed. The only reason I bought ziplock bags instead of store brand is because they were thicker. Unless they change the thickness back I will just by store brand because I don't see the value in the price difference

The new design of the Ziplock sandwich bag is horrible. I will never buy them again! They are one of the most inconvenient, time-wasting, useless things I've experienced in a storage container of any sort. It is maddening to have to spend so much time when you're hurrying to get out the door in the morning to be made late because you're trying to seal up a sandwich bag.....something that I have literally never even had to think about before.

The " improved" sandwich bags are anything but that ! I have used these for years and it's obvious the new ones are thinner and much much harder to seal . Often they don't stay sealed . They seem to hold less and several times my finger has gone right through the bag while trying to get the bag sealed . Please go back to the old ones as otherwise I will not buy the brand again . If you needed to charge a few cents more for the old ones that's fine rather than put out an almost unusable product . You must be aware of this issue based on the many negative reviews on your own site ...

I bought a huge box of these, for the first part of the box they were fine, now that I've used about half of them, everytime I use one it splits. I usually use them for my snacks, and many times I go to take my break and my snack is all over the place. Also does this with my husband's sandwiches, I've quit using them for his lunch because his sandwich isn't fresh at lunchtime. So so disappointed and I wish I hadn't bought the large box that I did.

I have read the reviews, as I came to the site to comment regarding my experience and let you know that the product is not up to par with Zip Lock quality. I see that I'm not alone in my disappointment. Every time I pull the bag out of the box and open the bag to put something it in, it splits down the sides. I have tried to be very gentle with the product to prevent this from happening. I end up having to throw away an unused zip lock sandwich bag and I'm not impressed. I'd prefer not to switch brands, so I came to the site to see if there was a reason for it or if Zip lock offered another product. I really hope you refer back to your trusted and working design. This plastic you are using is not good quality and the design is not working. Closing and opening the bags are not use friendly. To avoid this all together I am using plastic containers. Please bring back the Zip lock quality sandwich bags!!

I love the new tabs - made it much easier to open and close for me. The box is also better than competitors. I keep them in a drawer so the top opening works best and they wrote the size on the top!! No more moving boxes around trying to find the size I need.

We thought this was going to be a great change to our ziplock bags. For some reason a bag that is "easy open" can not be closed. The plastic is a lot thinner. It tears easily. Please change them back. In the meantime does anyone know if another brand?

These bags used to be great! Easy to close and stayed close, but not anymore. These bags are almost impossible to close, I work a good 5 minutes trying to get completely closed. The zipper is terrible and I'm honestly disappointed in Ziploc with these bags. I don't care if they've got easy open tabs, I just want them to close and stay closed! Once I'm done with this box I'm not buying anymore. These used to be my number one bags but if they can't close then I think it's time to move on.

There's a reason that people think of Ziploc as the go to name for resealable bags ... they work great, the closure works the first time, and they're sturdy enough to do the job. Although the new tabs don't make a significant change for me I bet that people with dexterity issues will appreciate it greatly.
