I have been purchasing Ziploc for years and had to go buy another brand after using these. The bags are made of thin material that rips easily. More than 1/2 the bags I have tried to use so far have ripped. It is difficult to place a sandwich in the bag without mangling the bag and the sandwich. I will not purchase these again.

I love the new easy open design on the bags, it makes it so much easier to open without destroying the bag completely. That was a big problem I always had in the past with the older design. The bags are durable and easy to close, I am very pleased with them.

Unfortunately, a great product is now very much worse than the original. The main issue is not being able to close the bag -- it will not 'zip'... No time to struggle for 5 minutes trying to close the bag. The 'zip' will not join, or joins partially, and pops open again. Come on, S C Johnson, go back to the original ziploc closure ! Please.

What is wrong with these "improved" bags? Do your engineers use them? Are they as frustrated as me? I get anxious every time that I reach for a sandwich bag now - will it close? will I throw it out? do I have the time to sit and work with it to get it to close? I used to trust Ziploc bags to do their job. Now - not so much!

Life the closure on these sandwich baggies best. Beats the 60's baggies with the tuck and pullover where everything would fall out. We have come a long way baby and these are good quality as one expects with ziplock. Bravo for evolution and grip and seal tech!

This is the second box I've bought. My experience is that the plastic separates at the top seam by the easy open tab. I thought maybe I'd just gotten a bad box but my second box is doing the same. On top of that the stores don't seem to carry the old style any more. Please fix this problem or bring back the old style.

These baggies are not worthy of freezer use. That’s why it’s not stated on the packaging. The plastic millimeters is too small to protect items. Packing a lunch or saving leftovers to a fridge is ideal. I also like to portion control out pantry items like cereal, oats, chips, and granola. I keep a box on my workbench for loose items that go with an item I am storing(hardware with bed frame). Bags can puncture. Avoid use in microwave and freezer. The plastic won’t hold up for hard or repeated use.

I always chose the Ziplock Sandwich bags over the store brand. The price difference was overshadowed by the superior performance and ease of closing. It appears that they are now cutting costs. The "zipper" is now thin and flimsy and it is extremely hard to seal. They are now the same quality as the store brand so I might as well save the money and purchase those!

The bags will not stay close and if you manage to get it closed you have already spent valuable time just trying to get it to stay closed. Easy to open.no problem because most of the time they open on their own. The bags do NOT maintain a seal for longer than it takes to place a full bag on the counter.

NEW DESIGN IS TERRIBLE - BRING BACK OLD VERSION. Basically, this seal is not air or water tight. Put item in the bag, seal it, put in fridge overnight, it has inflated with air or other gas. Squeeze the bag gently but firmly and the air/gas will escape. Ziploc quart and gallon storage bags don't do this, neither did old design. Sure, marketing department has to focus on the new "easy open" feature to hopefully sell more. If they focused on the new "not air tight" feature people won't buy them. Trust me, after buying one box neither I nor others will be buying them again. Look at all the negative reviews. Sure, new design may result in cheaper price (or not increasing the price) and initial sales, but repeat sales WILL NOT HAPPEN. From scientific perspective, I believe the inflation is caused by items in the bag releasing gases and this is quite normal. Seal is good enough to keep them from escaping. But the gases can be squeezed out by squeezing the bag gently but firmly. If the bag had an air tight seal, like the old design and the larger bags**, then the only way to release the gas is to open the bag, squeeze, and re-seal it. ** Larger bags refers to bags with regular ziploc seal, not the "slider" seal. Those are also not air/water tight.
