This shampoo was quite highly reviewed so I thought I'd try it on my my time coloured hair. After a few washes using the matching conditioner my hair started to feel quite straw like and brittle. I had to stop using it as I was worried it would do permanent damage. It must be good for some hair types otherwise it wouldn't have such high ratings but I definitely wouldn't recommend.

Most of my life I had very thin, brittle hair. It was strange because being African-American, we usually have coarse, thick hair. My mom cut ALL my hair off when I was about 13 because she said it wasn't growing and I needed to start fresh. About a year ago, I stop chemically relaxing my hair and straightening it. I got this shampoo and conditioner and since then my hair has done a complete 360! My hair is SO thick now. It has grown so much and is verg healthy! The little hair I had in my crown area is now full again. Thank you OGX! Holy grail for sure!!!

I started using OGX about two years about because my hair was so brittle from lightening it. It only took a few weeks for me to notice considerable difference. Now two years later, I have to go in and have my hair trimmed every few weeks because it just grows too fast. I love to hear my hairdresser make a point for everyone to notice how healthy my hair is. I recommend OGX to everyone that is in search for healthier longer hair.

This is such a hard review to write because I honestly loved this brand of shampoo & conditioner up until I started loosing a lot of hair. I was literally pulling out clumps in the shower. I went and consulted with a Doctor and had blood work done. Results came back that everything checked out fine. I wouldn't have thought this was the culprit until I saw a news article about this brand causing hair loss. I immediately stopped using it. And I would say within 2 weeks the hair loss gradually stopped. Of course we all loose hair everyday naturally but not like how I was loosing hair. Now, everyone's body is different and reacts differently to products, that's why it's so important to leave honest reviews. I'm not saying I don't like OGX because I'm sure for some people it's a great product but unfortunately, it was not for me. That is why I had to leave the one star.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo, now that it’s reformulated, is perfect! It is now a dye free, sulfate free, and paraben free shampoo! I like that a lot, since when i’m looking for a new shampoo I prefer it to not have those ingredients. The formula is thick and it lathers very nicely. It has a clean and fresh scent which I love! This shampoo makes my hair feel very clean and I would say it makes it feel thicker. I’m going to continue using it to see how the biotin and collagen further affects my hair. So far, I like it a lot and it’s definitely worth it for the price!

I bought the shampoo and conditioner set about two months ago. My hair before was shedding and I experience breakage as well. Since coming to OGA Biotin and Collagen my hair is more full, haven't notice breakage, and I have also noticed a significant reduction in shedding after shower. This is a great product and you have found a forever client. Like I said...Love, Love, Love.

I super love this stuff!!! I recommended this to my brother and dad who have thinning hairlines and it seems to work pretty well for them too. My hair gets oily fast and goes flat but with this shampoo my hair stays thicker longer but still oh so soft. With this big bottle I only need to wash my hair about every three days so it lasts much longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy to see that OGX has reformulated however, this Biotin + Collagen shampoo is just not the right fit for my particular hair type. I have very fine, damaged, dry hair and it almost seems worse after using this. OGX does not test on animals and they use a gentler sulfate alternative (completely sulfate free) which are both things I look for in hair products. I absolutely love the rich, creamy texture/lather and amazing smell. It reminds me of blooming flowers with a hint of vanilla. The purple, stylish bottles are beautiful and easy to hold/dispense product from. It is an affordable option and may work well for others.

Excellent for hair that needs a little structural help but doesn't prefer keratin. I have low-ish porosity, straight hair which gets crunchy and gross when exposed to more hydrolyzed proteins than it needs. Using this conditioner too much still has the same effect, but in moderation it's a winner. I recommend.
