I don't think it would really take on 18 sheets at a time but, so far it's doing a good job. This is our third shredder. I killed the last two. Hopefully this one will last a bit longer. The only negative is the bin could be bigger.

At a good price, I bought this unit as opposed to a smaller home sized model. Glad I did. It is larger, but solidly built, has a large bucket and an internal fan to reduce over heating. very pleased.

We replaced our old shredder that was 10 years old with this one and what a difference. We did a comparison amongst many shredder and this one won for overall value.

I love the fact that this shredder has a cooling fan, and has not overheated after hours of shredding papers and old credit cards. The only downside is the bin would fill up quickly. I would buy this product again.

This shredder is fantastic. The best shredder I've purchased. It is as good as the description states. As with all shredders, the pieces pile up in the middle of the container. The shredder stops thinking it is full but all you have to do is shake the basket for it to settle down and start up again. It takes so many sheets at once that shredding goes fast. Highly recommend it.

I've had this shredder about a month, but I am very happy with it. I've shredded several sheets of paper at a time, and it did jam up a couple of times. I just pulled out the basket, cleared the jam, and pushed it back in place. The basket is big and easy to dump into our recycle bin. It is a much better shredder than one I had years ago.

I had a Royal 150 MX for several years. This seems to be comparable with a few differences. The motor is powerful and meets the described capabilities. The handle is different on this bin...it has an opening to the inside of the bin. Not sure why. Pieces of shred escape. The 150 mx was mounted on the outside so bin was fully enclosed and was easier to extract from the shredder for emptying. The shredding mounds in the bin and the sensor shuts down the shredding early. Likely the pieces are too long. A quick readjustment of the shred and the bin is ready to accept more shred. I miss the 150 mx but I am getting used to the 1830 mx.

nice shredder for the price. Power cord is a little short. Manual covers operation only, no maintenance info. I emailed Royal about maintenance, like oiling, no response yet. Super 30 minute run time before cool down required. Shreds quietly. A little slow but no problem for home use. I would recommend this shredder to anyone.

I purchased this item to replace a smaller shredder that I had to take on a clean-out project. It works wonderfully well and is quiet. The plus was that it was on wheels and can be easily moved from one area in my home to another. I do not try the capacity of 18 sheets, but I would highly recommend if you are in need of a shredder. Price was good and the pickup service and checkout great!.

Very reliable product. This is my second Royal product. I have 1620MX at home and work for last 5 years. This is for new office. I bought 3 of them and they are working like a champ. No clogging. The container is large enough for day to day office work. Staff are very happy.
