Surprisingly powerful and not as loud as others we've had. Processes a lot of paper with a single pass. Frequently stops with full basket light, just give the basket a little shake to redistribute the shreddings and she's good to go again. Good size basket too. A true commercial size and quality.

Has helped me keep my New Year's resolution to stay organize and neat. Its quite fast and efficient. I can shred multiple papers at a time, I can shred my plastic and old IDs. I feel protected knowing I can shred anything that has my personal information on it.

This is the best “cheap” shredder I have ever had!! So glad I bought it. It has a turn on/off switch, and let's you know when the basin is full. Also it a large basin that is easy to dump!

I bought this shredder 2 months ago and use it daily. It will shred large amounts of paper with ease and is very quiet. Hopper has a full alert that keeps you from jamming the shredder heads. Excellent purchase!

I have not used it much but I know it is very quiet compared to my other one and seams to do a great job. I hope to have it for many years.

I just hope this one with more extra features last's as long as my old one, 10 years under moderate to heavy use.

Did everything I needed. No wait to cool down when I wanted to clear out backlog of stored items. Well worth the money compared to cheaper models.

Very good shredder and is capable of destroying credit cards and computer discs, if anybody still uses discs. I haven't tried shredding 18 pages, but the way it groans and slows down with 7 or 8, let's just say that I'm doubtful 18 is really doable.

I ordered this online for in store pickup. This was a birthday present for my mom. She loved the features-30 min run time, 18 sheet capacity, wheels to move around, etc. Since it is heavy, this is important for easier mobility. I have a similar one which has been a good product. The in store pickup was quick and efficient-easiest way to go if you know what u want and don't have a lot of time. However, when I took it over to my mom's house and set it up, it would not operate at all. We tried several things, but basically, when you plug it in and turn it on, it should operate immediately. The instructions said it had been tested and in fact there were shreddings of paper in the bottom. After 45 minutes of messing around to no avail, I put it back in the box and hauled it back to the store for an exchange. I asked to test the replacement unit before taking it, but was told they could not do that. Luckily second time was a charm and it operated immediately as it should. Moral of the story, just because the manufacturer says it was tested, doesn't mean it was. I almost wondered if they just threw shreds of paper in there. There was no visible damage to the first shredder, so if it was tested, I don't understand how the motor would have broken in transit. It was well packed and protected. I think the customer service people could have been more respectful of my time by opening the box and plugging it in before I left with it, given that the first unit did not work.

I haven't had a chance to use it to the extent I need to determine how good it is, but for the little bit I have used it, it seems efficient. It is definitely quieter. The slot for putting in paper to shred seems narrower than my other one and takes more effort to insert the paper. That seems to be the only disadvantage I have noted. Otherwise, it appears to be a good machine.
