The quality has really come down, as I make homemade beef jerky and I have used this before with a few issues. This time was just terrible as the fats melted into pools of fat. it took twice as long for the clean up, including the racks. Sam's club did indeed stand behind their products and refunded us the full amount. I will not be buying this anymore, as some places sell the 93% lean, and I can make it faster and clean up will be less.

I had a curbside order so I was not able to see this before I purchased it… there is 0% chance this is 90/10 meat. I’m appalled at the quality of this meat. When looking at it you can visually see all the tendons, stringy pieces and even cartilage… before judging a book bites cover I decided to cook some up and see how it was. Everyone that ate got nasty hard pieces which really just ruined the meal. So disappointing. This is such a great price but honestly I don’t know if you could even call this 80/20. Im not sure it’s even worth making a burger with.

The quality has dropped drastically. A very visible mysterious white filler has been added. It dose not devolve while cooking like animal fat however there is definitely more (grease?) or whatever it is in the skillet for 90/10 (buger?). not sure of the actual materials used but it is not 90/10 pure beef. if you look under the specifications you see Beef/ Poultry. if you look under the cased beef you see a description of ground fresh daily and a simple i gradient of beef. Not good. the taste has taken a dive as too. There is a noticeable different smell as well. Eatible but not good. krogers more pricey but taste better.

I specifically like the chub packaging. It's easy to handle for large recipes. I cannot speak on the taste or quality of the meat because I haven't tried it myself. I use it to make homemade dog food for my 95 lb german shepherd who cannot eat processed kibble. He hasn't had any digestive issues with the beef recipe I prepare and the beef recipe is his favorite of three different meat recipes. So... if it makes my four legged baby happy, I'm happy.

This is the only ground beef I buy! Its low in fat, can be split up into several meals! I usually split mine up into 2 lb bags and freeze. Although i do have a rather big family, we generally use it up quickly. This is really good for the big pot of chilly I make for my family and friends! Its the best quality we can find around here and its not expensive! I absolutely recommend anyone to buy this ground beef! I buy it at least a couple times a month!

I love getting this giant chub of lean ground beef. When I get it home, I break it out and put it in freezer Ziploc’s flatten it out and stack it up in the freezer. It keeps really well it’s great for burgers and any other ground beef recipe you can think of.

I split this into 5 equal parts for 2lb bags of meat and freeze so that I don't have to go to the store constantly. We love this meat as it is more lean but not at all dry! Perfect for hamburgers, but not greasy when making spaghetti, chili, burritos, etc. Best thing I have done is switch from the packages to the roll!

This is not your typical grocery store ground beef tube as the quality of the meat is higher. A great value if you're looking for a low fat option for soups, stews, sauces, or when you need ground option for hand helds. However, if you're looking for the best flavor for burgers, I would recommend 85% lean / 15% fat, as that extra 5% of fat really makes a difference.

The most horrible beef I have ever bought --- I feed my beagles beef, elk and eggs ---- this beef was so bad with so much residue (multiple layers of it) that it was "choking," it wouldn't even congeal, it was like the meat was sitting in a multi-grease layered "soup" --- very disappointed!

I have purchased this for years. When browning the 90/10 it used to have very little fluid to drain in the pan, now one pound has over 1/4 cup watery fluid. This started in the past year. Other than that it’s excellent quality hamburger, red all the way through when I cut and vac seal it. Taste gear. Will keep buying.
