I've been using the Aiden for about a week now and it has exceeded my expectations. What could be a complicated experience with so many settings combinations and permutations has really been dumbed down by the presets for Light, Medium, and Dark roasts. And the precise settings for specific coffees are on-point and cafe-quality. I LOVE that Aiden uses the right amount of water regardless of how full the reservoir is. The brew time is about 25% longer than a standard coffee maker, but is worth it. My wish list for future development: 1. Integrated grind size recommendation for Light/Medium/Dark or specific beans if using a Fellow grinder. Right now I'm just using "5". 2. Make it so the lid won't close unless the green/blue water shower setting matches the basket insert. 3. Make it so the display doesn't automatically turn back on each time the carafe or another part is removed.

I've had the Aiden for almost two weeks, so I am now familiar enough with it to write a review. Let me preface this with I'm pretty fussy about my coffee. I roast my own beans just to the start of the second crack, so it's not a light roast, but not so dark that oil appears on the beans. I have a particular pour over method that works for me. My goal was to replicate the same cup of coffee using the Aiden. Short answer: it's a success. 1. By creating my own profile and using a slightly coarser grind, I get a very good cup of coffee. That's the most important thing. Specifically, it's great being able to set the temperature, the bloom time, and the number of pulses and intervals between them. 2. The Aiden uses an adjustable ratio of coffee to water to calculate the amount of coffee to add depending on the number of cups you want, so you don't have to recalculate if you change the number of cups. That's pretty helpful. 3. The carafe is great. It keeps my coffee hot without using a heating element. 4. The machine looks good and actually frees up counter space by replacing my pour-over set up and kettle with one appliance. 5. I like the water reservoir on the side. It's easy to access and fill at the sink. Also, being on the side, it's easier to see when it needs to be refilled. So I do recommend this machine - it does what it says and does it well. HOWEVER, it's not perfect: 1. The lack of features in the app are well documented and make it useless right now, so I won't belabor that. 2. There is a problem with the custom profile I created. I specified 4 pulses in batch mode. It worked initially, but the second time I used the profile, it had reset the number of pulses to 1. I now have to check it each time and reset it to 4. Apparently Fellow is aware of the issue (I hope) and will be fixing it (I hope). 3. The lowest ratio of coffee to water that I was able to set was 1:14. I like it a bit stronger, so I have to slightly increase the recommended amount of coffee. 3. The single brew mode (which uses a cone filter) maxes out at 3 "cups" which is really about 1 ½ good sized cups. With more than 3 "cups" you have to use the batch flat bottomed basket. I really prefer the cone filter holder and filters, so I wish Fellow would allow single brew mode to go up to 4 or 4 ½ "cups" (2 real cups). The problems are not insurmountable (and are hopefully temporary), so, if you're thinking of getting the Aiden, I say go for it.

Great coffee, indistinguishable from my V60 pour over during tasting. Standard filter sizing is nice. Carafe looses heat quickly once brewed. Swapping to a double wall vacuum insulated Carafe would be a large quality of life improvement. App is barebones and not worth installing giving current (lack of) features. Perhaps more functionality will be added over time Documentation shipped with product is minimal, be prepared to navigate the website and watch several short YouTube videos instead of thumbing through a product manual

Quite nice, excellent cup of coffee, on par with a Curtis Gold Cup for the small head, and excellent batch brews for the larger basket. I'm glad they chose the two most common filter styles. I have a few durability concerns with some of the design (the colored plastic latches that hold the baskets in place, the display/buttons, the myriad sensors), and wouldn't recommend this to the BIFL crowd over a Moccamaster. For the rest of us, seeking the flexibility of single cup brews, it's a fine bit of kit.

I bought the Aiden as part of a bundle. Was disappointed to learn during the ordering process that bundles don't qualify for the 10%. The coffee maker is excellent and the interface, including making your own brewing program, is very intuitive. It brews and excellent cup of coffee and seems to be well made.

So here's the problem. I love the Aiden. But… until the app is functional I find doing any customization next to impossible and very frustrating. Eventually I hope it becomes easier to use. I own every Fellow product. I hope this one comes through for me.

Great product but they were too late in the software. Upon release, the app is barely functional, Not doing anything other than updating the firmware, but at the same time they didn't have any guide online mentioning that it wasn't an issue. However, the machine itself is solid, and if the app catches up to the promised features will be great. In particular they need to solve for grind size. For many people value proposition is not in the flexibility, but in the built-in recipes, so you don't have to waste the first half bag iterating to get the brew just right. In order to fulfill that vision, in the settings they should ask me what kind of Fellow grinder I have and once I put in the recipe and quantity, they should give me the suggested drawing size. Otherwise, they're just taking volume and dividing by 16

Used this machine for over a month now. Good coffee, but very disappointed in the time it takes to make a batch brew, as 10 minutes after it says it's ready, there is still lots of water in the basket. There are also way too many residual grounds that make its way into the carafe.

I love the design of Aiden. I think that's my favorite part. It is very sleek. I also like that it doesn't take too much space. I think one thing that I don't like as much is the design of the digital interface and menu options. I wish that the brew schedule was simpler. Also, the temperature of the coffee does not feel as hot as I would like it.

I received my Aiden in September and I haven't used any of my other machines since. Makes one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a while. The coffee that came with it were great even considering the fact that I don't really drink lighter roasts, but they were great with the brew profiles. I can't say enough about this machine and can't wait until the app is fully developed.
