I received the Little Seeds Trellis Toddler Bed from the Stellar Product Testing Panel just in time. I had seen photos of Montessori-style beds online but had never seen one in person until assembling this one. It is absolutely adorable! The design is charming and fits seamlessly with our home's aesthetic and my toddler's room décor. One of my biggest concerns about transitioning out of the crib was safety, especially the possibility of him rolling out of bed. I love that this bed sits directly on the floor, which completely eliminates that worry. It provides independence while still feeling secure. My son loves it and has been sleeping well since the transition. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that it can be converted into a simple Montessori floor bed (without the trellis) or even a playhouse, which adds versatility and long-term value. Another major plus is that our standard crib mattress fits perfectly in the frame, so we didn't need to purchase a new mattress. In terms of quality, the materials feel appropriate for a toddler bed frame. While it isn't overly heavy-duty, the low-to-the-ground design adds stability. So far, it has held up well to typical toddler energy, including the occasional jumping. I also appreciate the non-toxic coating, especially during this stage when little ones tend to explore everything with their mouths. All of the pieces arrived intact with no damage. The assembly process was relatively straightforward and took me about two hours to complete. That said, I am currently eight months pregnant and assembled it on my own, so it likely would have gone faster with a second person. I would recommend partnering with someone if possible, as aligning and tightening the top trellis section is a bit easier with extra hands. What I love most about this toddler bed is how seamlessly it supports the transition from crib to “big kid” bed while still feeling safe and secure. From building it to sleeping in it to playing in it, my toddler has been a huge fan every step of the way. She even shows it off to every person who walks in the house. For my part, I love how simple and sturdy it is and how it sparks her creativity. This toddler bed frame is made of wood with a non-toxic coating, which I appreciate especially since my daughter is sleeping in it. It seems to be very sturdy and well made. It comes with the option to have the toddler bed with a trellis over it, or to have the little house frame separately from the bed frame. I appreciate this option, especially since it's been such a hit to play in. I can imagine at some point taking the pieces apart and putting the trellis part in our playroom. Assembly was very easy. My three year old helped, which was a great experience for us and I think shows just how simple assembly was. Of course I read the directions and tightened the bolts; but she was able to screw in the bolts on her own which made the bed even more exciting. The directions are straight forward and truly only an Allen wrench was needed. I just wish there were a few extra parts included. The only issue I've had is that our flooring is wood and it tends to skid across it if pushed. Of course when my daughter is lying on the mattress, it's not a problem. But I wish there was some sort of surface with traction on the bottom of the frame. That would make me feel a little better about both the bed frame holding up and the floor not getting scratched up. My daughter has loved sleeping in the bed. However, my favorite part, and what I've noticed most since we put it together, is that it has encouraged a massive amount of creative play. It has been a doctor's office, a school, a coffee shop, a car, the Banks's house from Mary Poppins… she has spent so much time in and around the bed, just pretending. This is exactly what I want to encourage in her at this stage and I am so glad that something as simple as her bed frame can support this. It's something I wish I would have thought of earlier, but am grateful to be able to provide her with now. Overall, the Little Seeds Trellis Toddler Bed is an excellent choice for any toddler. It's easy to put together, provides a Montessori bed experience for kids to sleep in, and encourages creativity. This bed is absolutely adorable and will be the perfect transition for my daughter as she moves out of her crib. I'm not going to lie, when I first saw how many pieces and screws came in the box, I was a bit daunted. But the set-up was a breeze, as it came with easy-to-follow directions and stickers labeling each piece. It can be constructed into two different configurations, the trellis structure or a basic rectangular structure without the trellis. We went with the trellis structure and are in love with its whimsical look. A standard crib mattress fits the structure, meaning if you already have a crib there is no need to buy a new mattress! The structure is fairly petite, fitting well in my daughter's smaller room along with her dresser and our larger rocker. I also love that the mattress sits directly on the floor so my daughter, who has some balance difficulties, can easily climb off and on the bed. The non-toxic coating is very nice, leaving absolutely no smell and a clean look. The only drawback of the exterior look is the number of screws that you can visibly see. Because the trellis bed is white, the silver screws are fairly easy to notice. Despite that, this toddler bed is an easy yes. Adorable? Check! Functional? Check! Great quality? Check!

This bed is a great quality and very sturdy. My son just transitioned to a toddler bed and he seems to love it! He sleeps very well in the bed. The bed was somewhat easy to put together, it took two of us to finish it because we needed to hold some of the pieces in place. The only concern I have with this bed is the trellis piece on the top. While it's not directly in my son's reach, I am slightly concerned he is going to try and climb or swing on them. He loves to climb and has seemed interested in attempting to. I appreciate the quality and how well made this bed is. My son is always on the go and a big mover and the bed feels like it will stand up to him with no problem.

I loved the unique look of this bed and how it can foster creative play in addition to being a bed! My toddler loved it too and as soon as it was assembled, they wanted to climb inside and play "house." When playing during the day, we've draped a sheet over the top to turn it into a hideout. The bed is made of high-quality materials while still remaining lightweight and easy to move around. I appreciated the non-toxic coating since my kid is still in the lick and touch everything stage! I got the white version, and it seem to become scratched/marked up easily. I was a little daunted at first by the assembly process (so many screws and bolts!), however, the build was straightforward, and it came together fairly quickly in under an hour. One thing I was surprised by was the lack of any base; the mattress sits directly on the floor. This does make for easy cleaning and changing the sheets. Overall, I give this toddler bed 4 stars. My favorite part is how you can separate it into a two-piece set of the toddler bed and the canopy structure allowing for flexible sleep and play time. Easy to put together and made from high quality materials. I found the instructions easy to follow and had it together in no time. A crib mattress fits well and this is such a cute frame! My toddler has loved her "tent" bed. Adding silks or lights to the frame makes it just that more magical! Before we were ready to move this into the bedroom, we had this in the play space and used it as a reading tent. This was magical. Having an adult, toddler, and a dog squeezing in for story time was a great time for us as a family. Overall, I just can't say enough good things about this frame.
