I assembled this bed for my 2 year old, who is my 6th child, so I've assembled quite a few pieces of furniture during my time as a parent. The first thing that stood out when opening the box is that there were ZERO scratches or blemishes on any of the wooden pieces - that is so rare! I also loved how no additional tools were needed. Only the provided allen wrench was needed for assembly. Furniture assembly is something I sometimes struggle with - instructions are often confusing for me or don't match my learning style. These instructions were so clear and easy to follow and the steps to assemble the bed were not complicated at all. It was a very simple construction process. The bed feels very sturdy, our toddler mattress fits snugly inside the frame, and it is so visually appealing. I have 4 girls and they have had such a fun time having “reading parties” snuggled up together in the bed. It feels extra cozy to have the “roof” overtop and I also like that it allows the mattress to sit directly on the floor. This bed is perfect. I have no negative feedback at all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We initially planned to use this toddler bed to transition our child out of the crib, and while it worked well size-wise (since it uses the same mattress size as a crib), we ultimately decided not to make the full sleep transition with it. Instead, we repurposed it as a cozy playhouse space where our toddler can read, relax, and play during the day. From a design standpoint, the bed has a simple, neutral look and sits low to the ground, which made it easy for our child to get in and out independently. The familiar mattress size helped make it feel comfortable and inviting, even when used as a play space. In terms of construction and materials, there are a few areas that could be improved. The mattress sits directly on the ground rather than on a raised frame or slats, which wasn't ideal for our needs. The frame also has some side-to-side sway and doesn't feel as sturdy as we would prefer for a primary sleeping bed. Additionally, some of the hardware, such as bolts, remains exposed, and covering these would improve both safety and overall appearance. Assembly itself was straightforward, with clear instructions and no special tools required. While we chose not to use it as a full-time bed, it has worked nicely as a low, accessible space for reading and quiet time, and our toddler enjoys having it as a dedicated spot of their own. We did not have the right mattress, so we built the frame to see how my nieces would like it as a fort/ reading corner. When we finished building I thought it was so cute, as a bed frame I love the idea of a canopy for a kids bed. As a fort though, we put a sheet over the frame & some pillows to make it cozy & my nieces loved it! They spent a lot of time just sitting under the frame drawing & playing with their dolls. This was lovely as it gave my sister and my parents a break from playing with them. The only negative is that so could see my nieces arguing about who gets the bed frame, but that just means we would have to buy another one! I would definitely recommend this.

Pros: putting this together was so simple, less than an hour altogether and no additional tools which is a HUGE benefit in my book. The design is absolutely precious and would be a dream with some fairy lights. Very simple to follow instructions with durable materials. Cons: the smell of the materials is concerning. Upon opening the box there was a very strong smell similar to spray paint. Nothing about the box or items is has spray paint on it so this concerned me as the coating is marketed as non-toxic. The scent was so strong I had to open a window and move the bed from my child's room, and the room it is in now also has the strong odor and I can not get it to dissipate. It has been multiple days since putting together. I've had furniture in the past that has a scent upon unboxing but never for this long. I cannot in good conscience use this product for my child while the scent is so strong. I'm really hopeful it will calm down and we can use the bed soon! In all fairness it could potentially be a shipping issue but I notice the scent on the pieces more than the box it came in. Considering the style, durability and ease of assembling this would be a product I would recommend if the scent issue was looked into. Also please read ALL of the instructions. You will be left with a few pieces after putting it together which is for the floor bed and playground conversion, which is another feature I highly appreciate as most beds conversion kits are a separate purchase! All in all, I am doing my best to reduce the scent and really look forward to using this fun bed for my little one so long as we can do it safely.

I love that you can do the a-frame or just the border all around. It is right on the ground and he won't hurt himself if he accidentally rolls off. I love that it's made out of non-toxic coating since my son still likes to put things in his mouth and lick furniture. It is a beautiful white color. The assembly for the bed seemed daunting at first looking through the book. However it is packaged so all the pieces that go together remain together and are labeled with stickers. My 6 year old was even able to help me complete some of the assembly, it was that simple. The construction is sturdy once assembled thanks to the bolts that insure the screws are not going anywhere, and it gives me full confidence my full energy little toddler can use it very safely. I thought for sure that there were times the boards were going to be scratched but the non-toxic coating held up during assembly and makes me believe it will be very easy to clean as well. I was concerned when we finished there were extra pieces, but I love that after it can be converted into other pieces to grow with my child in play. Most importantly my toddler loves his new bed. We've been trying to transition to a big boy bed and not doing well. He is obsessed with farms and calls his bed his bed and barn. He loves it and is finally sleeping through the night on his own. Overall, we are extremely happy with his new toddler bed. From construction, materials, and his joy with it, we know we will have many happy nights ahead because of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this bed has worked well for our family. We transitioned our 2-year-old from a standard crib to this bed. We appreciated the fact that we could easily switch over his standard crib mattress to this frame, and it seems he will fit in this bed for years to come. He loves it and loves that he can climb in all by himself. It feels safer than a traditional toddler bed that is raised higher, as he doesn't have far to fall. The bed frame is a nice, neutral color that will fit almost any design/color scheme. I think my son likes that the bed frame looks like a "fort," but he does sometimes hit his head entering/exiting the bed. The assembly is quite involved; it took over an hour for my husband and I to assemble together. It wasn't a difficult assembly, just time consuming because each piece is separate. Not a big deal overall, but this bed frame will likely not fit through a standard door frame, so keep that in mind if you ever plan to change rooms. I enjoy that you can use the bed frame with/without the upper frame. One of my biggest gripes is that there are SO many screws showing at all times (see photos). I was surprised the screws couldn't instead be moved to the side/back of the crib. It would even be better if the screw ends were painted white or had covers. It just makes an otherwise nice-looking piece of bed look much cheaper. Seems like an odd design miss. Again, not a big deal overall, but something to note. Out of all of the products I have tested, this is by far my favorite. I have three little ones under four and this toddler bed perfectly fits the needs of all of them. I chose to specifically place this bed in my 20 month old's room and she could not be more obsessed. We recently switched from a crib to toddler bed and the transition hasn't been the easiest. I am so grateful for this bed as my daughter went from tantrums at bedtime to requesting naps just to lay in her new “princess bed”. We decorated her room in a princess theme and the bed fits beautifully with the whimsical aesthetic. We chose to adorn the top of the bed frame with wrapped lights and it looks truly stunning. It's important to note that this bed design is extremely versatile and could easily work for any gender or theme. The set up was straightforward and I was able to independently build the bed in about 25 minutes. I was truly impressed with the quality as I am very specific on what products I will allow around my children. So many products geared towards young children are made with harmful materials so I especially appreciate the non-toxic coating on this bed. In fact, I am so impressed that I will be purchasing another bed to place in my son's room. Between the easy installation and top notch quality, I highly recommend this toddler bed. Seriously, just buy it.
