It is a Montessori-designed bed frame that is low to the floor to ensure the safety of your child. Designed for children aged 15 months and older. The bed frame's whimsical house shape is visually appealing. Notably, the bed frame can be transformed into a play fort. You can easily add string lights or a sheet to the frame, allowing your child's imagination to flourish. The quality of the bed frame is reasonable and sturdy. The frame is constructed from pine, which initially released a stronger pine odor from the box opening. However, after a day or so, the pine scent dissipated. The frame I received features a white non-toxic finish, suitable for either gender. The assembly time for the bed frame was relatively short, taking approximately 45 minutes from start to finish. My toddler slept peacefully on the first night we assembled it and continues to sleep well in it.

Our 18 month old was super excited when he first saw it and immediately ran to it and climbed on top! The design is super adorable and fits perfectly with the rest of his room. The quality is really good and super sturdy, I especially like that it has a non toxic finish which is great because my toddler has a habit of biting the rail on his crib so I don't have to worry about him biting on his new toddler bed. Assembly was straight forward and easy. All the pieces were labeled with stickers, which made it easy to follow along with the instructions. What we loved most is how safe it is for our toddler since it's ground level. He had started climbing out of his crib, so transitioning to a toddler bed felt much safer. Being low to the ground makes it easy for him to get in and out which is both a pro and a con since we are still adjusting him to it but it's nice to be able to lay down right next to him until he falls asleep and step away without moving him. One thing to note: while I love the house style design, the slanted top does take some getting used to. When he's standing on the side of the bed and steps down, he has bumped his head a few times where the roof begins to slope. This is something he'll have to adjust to but the instructions do indicate that it doesn't need to be setup with the top pieces so it's not a huge issue and can be easily adjusted to be taken off, it would just depends on your preference and the design of the bed. Overall, it's a beautifully well made, durable and non toxic toddle bed so it's a great transition bed to use until he goes to a big boy bed.

I was honestly a little nervous about making the switch, but this bed made it so easy for all of us. He was getting to the point of potentially climbing out of his crib which made us very nervous and we couldn't wait for him to not be in a crib anymore. The design is absolutely adorable. The little house frame makes it feel fun and my son was immediately excited about sleeping in his little tent. It made the transition feel like an upgrade instead of something he was losing. The white finish is clean and modern, and it fits perfectly with the rest of his room style. The size is just right for a toddler. It's low to the ground, which gave us peace of mind in case he rolled out since he moves around the night so much. He can climb in and out on his own which has helped build his independence. The side rails are high enough to make it feel secure but still easy for him to get in and out without help. Assembly was straightforward and didn't take too long. The instructions were clear and all the pieces felt sturdy and well made. Another big plus is that it uses a crib mattress, so we didn't have to buy a new one. That made the transition more affordable and convenient. Overall, we are so happy with this purchase. It's cute, sturdy, and perfect for helping our little one transition from crib to toddler bed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great bed. It can be either a cute house bed or you can build it so it is a floor bed with a separate playhouse. I built the house bed and my two littles are fighting over who gets to sleep in it. The assembly took me 45 minutes and required no additional tools other than the Allen key they provided. The pieces were clearly labeled and the directions were very exact. I found myself using the diagrams as they were very detailed. I appreciated how every piece was individually wrapped for protection and nothing I opened was damaged. I did have one barrel nut which would not go all the way in. I needed to use a file to remove some additional wood stuck in there and then it was fine. The non toxic coating was important to me as we try to keep our children away from as many chemicals as possible. I will always choose a chemical free option for my children. I did notice a slight paint odor so we will air it out before placing it in the bedroom. The bed is very sturdy and feels very high quality. I do not worry about it breaking or falling apart with normal use. I feel it will last through multiple children. The design also allows for the mattress to be on the floor so no worries about your toddler falling out of the bed. I have been looking at this style of bed for a while now. I wanted something simple and neutral which I could decorate for my daughter and then use again for my son when she outgrows it. This design allows for so much creative freedom. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this toddler bed to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The bed is super cute, I love the house top design! My toddler loved it as well, he went right inside and asked me to read a book on his new bed. He goes into the bed to read multiple times a day! When I first took it out of the package I felt like it had a little bit of a smell but after it had been out for a couple of hours that was completely gone! The non toxic wax coating was smooth and felt durable to the touch, which is important for a toddler bed. The wood felt hard and strong as I was putting it together. The screws are long and thick and made the bed feel sturdy. Assembling the bed was a breeze! I actually did both of the bed options in the instruction manual and ended up sticking with the first part of directions for the toddler house bed. Please note that the crib mattress goes directly on the ground (no slats). This was not an issue for me. One point of confusion for me was when I built the bed as the play house/ Montessori bed (2nd part of instructions). I thought it meant the bed would slide in and out but the bed sits on its own not under the house. See photos for explanation. If you want it to be a house with the bed directly under, you need to stick with the first part of the directions. The easy set up and the appearance of the bed with the house feature on top are my favorite parts of this bed. I was able to build it with my 16 month old in the room with me. He loved it right away and we often read stories under the bed. A floor bed is the perfect option for my son because I love being able to lay next to him and support him to sleep without transferring him into a crib. I highly recommend this product!

My little one is freshly 2 years old and was starting to attempt to climb out of her crib. I was looking for a solution, and this absolutely fit the bill. Transitioning a toddler to a bed that provides free range access to their room is always scary for me. But this made the switch so much easier because, 1) it's on the floor — I know she's not going to fall out and hurt herself, and 2) it's adorable and she loves the look! She says it's “my house,” and she likes to sit in it and “read” or relax. We are still giving her the option of either bed right now, and she's choosing this one almost always. It's going to be a great little permanent fort/tent structure when she's outgrown it, too. I'm always looking for easy ways to make my house a little “greener/cleaner,” so I appreciate that this bed has a non-toxic coating. The materials seem like decent quality that I expect to hold up well. It's a sturdy build and it feels safe to me. If you're used to putting together flat-pack furniture, this is an extremely simple build. The instructions could be a bit more detailed, especially for a novice. But it only took me about an hour, I did it alone (with the “help” of my toddler), and it requires zero tools outside of the hex key that is provided. Just pay attention to what you'll be connecting next, so that you know which direction to face the pieces. Even if you mess it up, it's super simple to remove a piece and face it correctly. If you're looking for an on-the-floor toddler bed that is cute and feels like a novelty to your child, this is a great option.

My 2-year-old started climbing out of her crib, and we needed to make the transition. I was looking for a bed that fit her whimsical vibe, was low to the ground, and fit her crib mattress (because that baby was expensive!). I put the bed together myself, and the assembly was really straight forward and easy. All the screws are the same size (no “size G” or “size I” screws), and all the holes were in the right spots (if you know, you know). The materials feel pretty sturdy, and I feel pleased with the quality. The bed has two modes—playhouse mode and Montessori mode, and we went with the playhouse mode because it has the cute little roof on top. I will say, the only downside to me is that the screws are very visible. I don't think that would bother most people, though. Also, the bed is pretty lightweight despite feeling durable, but if your toddler is one to move furniture around, I'd probably look for something heavier. As soon as I finished putting the bed together, my two kids immediately went inside. My daughter kept saying “LouLou's house!” (her name is Louise). I can't say she stays in the bed all night, but she definitely loves it!

I love that you can do the a-frame or just the border all around. It is right on the ground and he won't hurt himself if he accidentally rolls off.
