It's low to the ground, which is perfect for toddlers exploring their surroundings and developing independence. I was impressed by how easy it was to put together. It arrived very compactly packed in a box that is smaller than I imagined it would be. This is a great advantage for moving the bed though, and for storing it once it is taken apart. The pine material makes it very lightweight. It was easy to build on my own and it wasn't difficult or heavy to lift and place individual pieces. It fits a standard toddler mattress and feels quite sturdy. Right away, my toddler was eager to build a fort, and we wrapped light scarves around the trellis for a cute look. It's fun to customize according to my toddler's wishes and keeps her busy. She also loves having the trellis covered as she feels extra secure and cozy inside the bed that way. The trellis makes it very unique and interactive, and really inspires a lot of imaginative play. I set it up as a daybed in the playroom, and my 21-month-old daughter absolutely loves it. These days, she invites all her dolls to the bed to play hide-and-seek or just to lie down and relax. Assembling the bed was a breeze—it was simple enough that even my daughter could "help" me. Honestly, if it weren't for her help (haha), I could have finished it in 30 minutes. With her assistance, it took about 50 minutes total. I was pleasantly surprised that I could assemble it all by myself as a mom, and no extra tools were needed beyond what was provided. The manual wasn't complicated at all, and the ease of assembly was definitely my favorite part. If I had to mention some downsides, there was a rather strong chemical smell when I first opened the box, despite it being non-toxic paint. I might just be extra sensitive to smells, but thankfully, the odor completely disappeared by the next day. Also, perhaps because of the design, the edges are quite sharp. I wish the posts and any areas where a child might bump into were rounded or cylindrical. It's a bit sad to have to put safety bumpers on such a beautiful design. Additionally, when my daughter stands up in the corner, her foot sometimes gets stuck between the mattress and the railing. It's not enough to cause an injury, but I think a solid panel instead of slats might have prevented this issue. Overall, I am very happy with this product. The design is beautiful and makes the house feel so lovely—but most importantly, my daughter loves it so much. I think she'll enjoy turning it into her own little den as she gets older. Instead, we repurposed it as a cozy playhouse space where our toddler can read, relax, and play during the day. From a design standpoint, the bed has a simple, neutral look and sits low to the ground, which made it easy for our child to get in and out independently. The familiar mattress size helped make it feel comfortable and inviting, even when used as a play space. In terms of construction and materials, there are a few areas that could be improved. The mattress sits directly on the ground rather than on a raised frame or slats, which wasn't ideal for our needs. The frame also has some side-to-side sway and doesn't feel as sturdy as we would prefer for a primary sleeping bed. Additionally, some of the hardware, such as bolts, remains exposed, and covering these would improve both safety and overall appearance. Assembly itself was straightforward, with clear instructions and no special tools required. While we chose not to use it as a full-time bed, it has worked nicely as a low, accessible space for reading and quiet time, and our toddler enjoys having it as a dedicated spot of their own. Pros: putting this together was so simple, less than an hour altogether and no additional tools which is a HUGE benefit in my book. The design is absolutely precious and would be a dream with some fairy lights. Very simple to follow instructions with durable materials. Cons: the smell of the materials is concerning. Upon opening the box there was a very strong smell similar to spray paint. Nothing about the box or items is has spray paint on it so this concerned me as the coating is marketed as non-toxic. The scent was so strong I had to open a window and move the bed from my child's room, and the room it is in now also has the strong odor and I can not get it to dissipate. It has been multiple days since putting together. I've had furniture in the past that has a scent upon unboxing but never for this long. I cannot in good conscience use this product for my child while the scent is so strong. I'm really hopeful it will calm down and we can use the bed soon! In all fairness it could potentially be a shipping issue but I notice the scent on the pieces more than the box it came in. Considering the style, durability and ease of assembling this would be a product I would recommend if the scent issue was looked into. Also please read ALL of the instructions. You will be left with a few pieces after putting it together which is for the floor bed and playground conversion, which is another feature I highly appreciate as most beds conversion kits are a separate purchase! All in all, I am doing my best to reduce the scent and really look forward to using this fun bed for my little one so long as we can do it safely.

The frame itself was very easy to put together and the instructions were fairly clear to follow along. The parts of the frame are made of wood and arrived in good condition, I didn't notice any chips or damage to the parts. I like that it's a Montessori style toddler bed so they can get in and out by themselves and that the upper half of the frame can detach to create a little play area for them, I've kept it together as of now though. So far it's held up great even with my toddler trying to climb the side of the frames, it doesn't seem unstable as a standalone.

I was skeptical at first because it doesn't have a bed guard/rail like most toddler beds do but luckily my daughter is not much of a roller. Assembly was simple and clear enough as I was able to complete it by myself in 1.5 hours; no extra tools needed! I appreciate that it uses a crib mattress so we didn't have to purchase a new one after my toddler transitioned from her crib. My favorite feature was seeing that the bed has different formations to fit my little one's needs. I plan to pass this down to my baby boy on the way once they are old enough so it's nice to see it has an option without the arch at the top to make it into a traditional toddler bed. It's also great that the arch can then be used as a playground as I'm sure two toddlers will have a blast doing pretend play in!! So don't worry about having to stow away the arch with no purpose. The quality of the bed feels very sturdy as a previous bed we owned always made creaking sounds so it's nice to have what feels like a high-end quality bed. We really appreciate the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing us with this toddler bed. There were a couple of things that caught our attention that other parents may want to look out for. As I mentioned earlier, I would recommend getting something like the tubes you can put under the sheets if your little one has a tendency to roll to the edges. The one issue we have with the bed is that there are no slats where the mattress would lay, so the mattress sits on the floor completely. We're worried this could become an issue down the road as it's known that mattresses laying directly on the floor have a tendency to produce mold since there is no airflow between the floor and the mattress.. so we will need to keep an eye on this.. that's honestly my only reason for knocking it down a star, but otherwise we love the bed as our daughter sleeps well in it and we parents know figuring out sleep in toddlers is a mission haha!

My daughter is about to transition into a toddler bed and we have been really excited about putting the Little Seeds Trellis Toddler Bed. It took under an hour to assemble myself. Admittedly I was a little concerned as I was taking materials out of the box. It said non-toxic coating, however there was definitely a chemical odor that disappeared quickly, but still a little bit of a flag for me. The assembly was easy for one person. The materials are very light weight. some of the paint was chipped on a few and a white poweder residue was on the floor after i finished. I took a star away for this - quality of materials felt questionable. This is a montessori style bed, so the mattress goes right on the ground. My toddler LOVED the fact that it was low to the ground and she could effortlessly get up and down. She was giggling as she walked around the bed, reaching for the top - we have ordered some scarves to hang on it for some sensory fun. It is very whimsical, which we love. I did discover that my daughter is not quite ready for the move to a toddler bed - she has been far too excited and is using it as a playhouse now, which is really adorable. She enjoys putting her stuffed animals to bed in there. Overall, very cute and fun. Wish the materials felt like they were a little better quality and the smell hadn't been so strong. As a place to play, it's an absolute hit.
