It's well designed, well made, and was relatively easy to assemble (it was literally user error, but my husband had no problem once he got home). Our favorite part of the bed is the design, baby boy has had so much fun getting cozy in it, and loves making forts with the frame. I was super skeptical changing him to a toddler bed just because I was worried he wouldn't feel comfortable or safe, but we had no issues transitioning to this bed because he could make it feel cozy and like his own. This bed was easy to put together - I put it together myself with ease. The quality of the product is really nice and can tell I'll have it for a while! The nontoxic coating is really reassuring as my little one still likes to test things with his mouth sometimes. I really loved that the design was simple yet stylish. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great bed. It can be either a cute house bed or you can build it so it is a floor bed with a separate playhouse. I built the house bed and my two littles are fighting over who gets to sleep in it. The assembly took me 45 minutes and required no additional tools other than the Allen key they provided. The pieces were clearly labeled and the directions were very exact. I found myself using the diagrams as they were very detailed. I appreciated how every piece was individually wrapped for protection and nothing I opened was damaged. I did have one barrel nut which would not go all the way in. I needed to use a file to remove some additional wood stuck in there and then it was fine. The non toxic coating was important to me as we try to keep our children away from as many chemicals as possible. I will always choose a chemical free option for my children. I did notice a slight paint odor so we will air it out before placing it in the bedroom. The bed is very sturdy and feels very high quality. I do not worry about it breaking or falling apart with normal use. I feel it will last through multiple children. The design also allows for the mattress to be on the floor so no worries about your toddler falling out of the bed. I have been looking at this style of bed for a while now. I wanted something simple and neutral which I could decorate for my daughter and then use again for my son when she outgrows it. This design allows for so much creative freedom. We chose the Little Seeds Trellis Toddler Bed based on the playful design and safety features, and it was provided to me as a member of the Stellar Product testing panel. Right out of the box, design was a great fit for the aesthetic of his nursery. My son's eyes lit up immediately, he said it looked like a little house just for him. It's simple yet whimsical, and the A-frame canopy gives it that “playhouse” vibe without being over the top, which I really appreciate. You can add a sheet over the top and it instantly becomes a little fort, something he still tries to climb into during the day. The style fits nicely in his room and doesn't look like just another plastic toddler bed. The bed is made of pine with a non-toxic finish that meets safety standards, which was a big deal for me. I don't want harmful chemicals near him while he sleeps. The wood feels sturdy and nicely finished, and we've had no issues with splinters or uneven paint. Assembly was pretty straightforward. It came as a flat pack with all the pieces ready to go and clear instructions. My husband put it together in about ~45 minutes. You do need to pay attention to making sure the canopy pieces line up, a couple of the holes weren't perfectly aligned at first, but nothing too frustrating. If you're not used to furniture assembly, give yourself a bit of extra time and don't be surprised if one or two pieces take a bit of fiddling. Now that he's actually sleeping in it (which was our big worry), bedtime has been smoother. He's excited to get into his “big boy bed,” and the low height makes it easy for him to climb in and out independently, which has helped build his confidence. The Trellis feels sturdy and so far it's held up well. What I like most is how it doubles as play space and sleep space. The canopy frame invites imagination, and I've even found him playing in it before naps. It doesn't feel like a transition bed we'll outgrow quickly. The only downside for me is that I wish it was a natural wood color instead of white, but this is a small thing. For a first toddler bed after a long time in a crib, this has been a very positive transition for both of us. It's sturdy, safe, and well designed . Most importantly, my son loves it. I'd recommend it to other parents looking for a playful yet functional bed for that big step from crib to toddler bed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this bed set up in my 21 month old's bedroom for a few weeks now and so far, we love it! Here are a few of my thoughts: - the bed shipped quickly and without any hiccups - the box was easy enough to handle by myself so I could maneuver it into the room just fine while my husband was at work - putting the bed together was a bit tricky (but I think it was mostly due to user error). I was building the bed while my toddler was running around and trying to help and so I wasn't paying as close attention to the instructions as I should have. I ended up having to rebuild the A-frame top part of the bed three different times. Oops. This is part of the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. - The other reason it didn't quite get 5 stars is that the wood feels cheap and soft. Since I did have to take apart the pieces a few times, there are some indents on the wood from how I had them lined up incorrectly (see photos for reference). I didn't tighten the bolts too tight (I did it by hand using the tools provided). The wood is just very soft and will show small dents quickly. This is kind of a bummer considering it's a bed for small kiddos and they tend to be rough on things. - I do love that the bed can convert into a play hut and bed frame separately. We have it set up in one piece now, but I love that it's an option to adjust it in the future. -my toddler loves the bed and sometimes he has a hard time falling asleep because he just wants to play on the bed. - I love how easy it is to lay next to my toddler while he falls asleep. I don't have to stick my hand awkwardly though the crib bars. Now I can just hold his hand and stroke his back while he falls asleep and we are both more comfortable. - the bed fits a normal size crib mattress perfectly and I'm not worried about small things falling and getting stuck between the bed and the mattress and I know my son won't get his hand stuck or get hurt on it. - Please also note that the bed has a maximum weight of 50 pounds. I was hoping that it could be something I could sit on with my child to read stories and things but I have to sit next to it instead. The mattress sits directly on the floor, but I'm sure the weight limit is because of a strain on the side rails. - Overall, I am pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a whimsies style toddler bed! Love that its low to the ground and can turn in ti a play area. My daughter has slept in it every night since we put it together. Seems very sturdy. We put a sheet on it to help feel more cozy. Fits a crib mattress perfectly. Probably suitable for a child from 2 to 3 years old, so hopefully we will get a year out of it. It may be a bit better if its taller, my 2 year old daughter hits her head on it sometimes when getting up in the morning. The height and bottom rail do make it very easy for a toddler to get out of when they wake up.

I was skeptical at first because it doesn't have a bed guard/rail like most toddler beds do but luckily my daughter is not much of a roller. Assembly was simple and clear enough as I was able to complete it by myself in 1.5 hours; no extra tools needed! I appreciate that it uses a crib mattress so we didn't have to purchase a new one after my toddler transitioned from her crib. My favorite feature was seeing that the bed has different formations to fit my little one's needs. I plan to pass this down to my baby boy on the way once they are old enough so it's nice to see it has an option without the arch at the top to make it into a traditional toddler bed. It's also great that the arch can then be used as a playground as I'm sure two toddlers will have a blast doing pretend play in!! So don't worry about having to stow away the arch with no purpose. The quality of the bed feels very sturdy as a previous bed we owned always made creaking sounds so it's nice to have what feels like a high-end quality bed. We really appreciate the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing us with this toddler bed. There were a couple of things that caught our attention that other parents may want to look out for. As I mentioned earlier, I would recommend getting something like the tubes you can put under the sheets if your little one has a tendency to roll to the edges. The one issue we have with the bed is that there are no slats where the mattress would lay, so the mattress sits on the floor completely. We're worried this could become an issue down the road as it's known that mattresses laying directly on the floor have a tendency to produce mold since there is no airflow between the floor and the mattress.. so we will need to keep an eye on this.. that's honestly my only reason for knocking it down a star, but otherwise we love the bed as our daughter sleeps well in it and we parents know figuring out sleep in toddlers is a mission haha!

I plan to use this as a bed for my 16 month old once she is a little bit older, but both my 16 month old and my four year old were playing in it immediately; the “roof” makes the whole thing so fun and cozy. My four year old was excited that “it's kid sized!” It's great that it can be assembled as either a bed or a play space because I know I'll get more years of use out of it. The materials felt very high quality, the wood is extremely smooth, and even the ends of the pieces that connect to each other and don't show are sanded and painted, which gives it a luxury feel. Once assembled it was very sturdy and felt like it would hold up over time as a bed as well as a play nook. When I first opened the box there was a strong paint smell that was a bit off putting, but soon after assembling and airing the room out a little the smell was gone and did not return. Everything was packaged well and all the pieces were in excellent condition when I opened the box. Assembly took some time and patience, but it was not at all complicated because the instructions were very clear and the pieces were labeled well. If you set aside enough time to put it together anyone can do it. While the openness is fun for play and will work well for older toddlers, I'll probably need to add a removable railing for when my daughter first transitions to this bed, because I can imagine her rolling or walking out otherwise. Overall I think the adorable design, high quality feel, and multiple use options make this a really great option for a toddler bed
