It tastes of the sea without being overly fishy, and is packed in a small amount of olive oil, keeping the tuna moist, but not oily. The portion size in 1 can of the 3 pack is perfect for a hearty sandwich and/or salad accompaniment.

I usually by Tuna packed in water but I loved this brand and was able to strain most of the oil out. It tasted great and I used less mayo to mix in for a sandwich. Good quality product and very flavorful.

It was top tier tuna. Just the right amount of oil and the texture was great for making tuna salad for my sandwiches. It was the perfect main character to my tuna sandwich. The kids loved it as well. The price point is slightly high for my liking but not enough to stop me from buying.

I did add a bit of mayo and celery to mine, and heaped it onto an open face piece of good bread. It is a delicious option for a hot day you dont want to cook!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really enjoyed Rio Mare's Wild Tuna in Olive Oil. It is flavorful even straight from the can and makes for a delicious tuna salad. I liked that the tuna meat was canned whole, and that the amount of oil was relatively minimal. The small cans are a convenient size for a single portion, and are also nutritious. My only possible concern with the product is its sustainability, as it seems to have been shipped most of the way around the globe, from the West Pacific to Italy to the US, but I like the transparency in sourcing, including information on how the fish was caught. Hopefully this can be worked out a bit, but overall, this is a great product definitely worth a try!

We made some open faced tuna salad sandwiches, and I was very impressed. The taste was super balanced, and it felt very fresh with no overly fishy taste. Good balance of texture without feeling oily, which is a big deal to me. Overall, I can give it about my highest rating, which is that not only did my kids love it but I ate all of it too! I haven't had more than a few bites of tuna in years, so it says a lot that I enjoyed our meals with this. I would purchase this for future meals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had a chance to try the Rio Mare Solid Light Wild Tuna in Olive Oil through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I eat canned tuna occasionally for lunches, but it's usually kind that needs to be drained which I find a little gross and annoying. The Rio tuna is used right from the can - so easy! I used the tuna in my two favorite ways - in a salad and a wrap. I try to stay low carb so the salad had mixed greens, kale, chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumber, sunflower seeds and a balsamic dressing. It was delicious. The wrap had greens, some Greek yogurt and the tuna. I like the texture of the tuna and especially that it isn't too dry. Will definitely look for it in the store, and the price seems very reasonable for this quality of tuna!

The taste and texture was delicious compared to other tuna brands, and white the price was higher, it was definitely worth it.
