There's no fishy smell when you open the can, you get clean flavor of wild tuna. i would definitely buy this product again.

I do not eat a lot of tuna, but I was open to trying this to see if it changed my opinion or if this could be added to the rotation as a good option for a quick lunch. I did like that this tuna is set in olive oil. That made for a rich taste that is more to my liking if a Mediterranean diet. I do not eat a lot of tuna for the mercury content, but sometimes will incorporate it once per month. I would add this if it were readily available in the grocery stores that I shop in, but I likely would not go out of my way to purchase this. Overall, this was a decent product.

The easy to open cans are great and I love the small 3 pack cans because it allows me to have a small can to use for a quick snack. It also tastes great and not overloaded with olive oil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an avid tuna eater. I love the high protein and low carb content as well as the nutrients it provides. For this Rio Mare tuna, I ate it by itself as a snack after a workout. I wanted to taste it as is. I did end up adding some spicy chili crisp on top for fun, and it was amazing! This deserves more than 5 stars. The texture is dense and flaky like a tuna steak, which is a huge plus in my book. This is perfect for topping salads, on crackers, in sushi rolls and onigiri, in tuna or egg salad, or by itself! The olive oil was clean and light without any aftertaste. The tuna had a natural salty flavor to it and was highly enjoyable! I could honestly eat 3 cans in one sitting easily. The only downside I found was that there wasn't more tuna for me to eat, so I hope I can find these in a larger pack somewhere! I highly recommend. It felt nicely seasoned, and very balanced, and was tasty on its own. It went really well in my quinoa tapenade salad, and I feel that I could eat this on its own in the future. I look forward to trying this again.

It was light and delicate in texture. Some other brands of tuna I've had in the past had an off putting scent/ taste. Or they would taste metallic. The Rio Mare one did not have any of these issues. Additionally, I liked the amount of oil in the product - just enough to coat the tuna/ add some flavor, but not too much where the tuna needed to be drained or tasted like a layer of grease in my mouth. I made a a quick and simply tuna salad sandwich with it and it turned out delicious! It is pricier compared to other tuna that is on the market, especially considering the size per can, so that is the reason I gave it 4 stars, but the quality is also far superior and makes the price justified for me overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has good texture - not dry or soggy. It has good taste - not fishy nor drowned by salt. For 290 mg sodium, it didn't taste too salty. For some reason, the 3 pack was 290 mg sodium, but the single was 530 mg sodium. Anyways, it had a really clean taste, but the can was small, which made it even more expensive.
