When the Stellar Product Testing Panel reached out and asked if I wanted to try tuna, I jumped right on board! Tuna has been one of the few things that has not bothered me during my pregnancy and my doctor was fully on board because of the healthy fats and omega 3s found in tuna. This tuna has a fantastic texture and not having to drain it meant that taste was not sacrificed due to the loss of flavor from the loss of the liquid. Compared to other tuna I've had, this one was far above the others! My favorite thing to make with this tuna was a tuna salad sandwich on a rosemary sourdough, toasted, of course, with cheese. I also used it to make a couple of tuna patties for lunch one day. It was so amazing that I legitimately cried. Blame it on the hormones, but it really was that good! I flew threw all 3 cans I receieved before thinking I should have taken a picture of at least one of my meals before I scarfed it down! The quality of this tuna is amazing, but it can be a little pricey per can when you compare it to the less expensive stuff that you can find at the grocery store. None of my local stores carry the brand so I do have to have it shipped to me if I order more (and believe me I will). Knowing that I'm the only one in my family who eats tuna I don't have a problem spending that kind of money on myself, but I do wish that it was perhaps slightly more affordable so that I might (and that is a big ask) be willing to share it with my kids who are very picky. I think the best thing about this tuna is the fact that it does not require any draining in order to be ready to use. I hate that extra step when all I want to do is make my food and eat it. The size of the can is actually perfect for one person because it's not too much. I would 100% recommend this product for any of my fellow tuna lovers out there! 10 out of 10 one of the best tuna products I have been able to eat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just tried the Rio Mare solid light wild tuna in olive oil. Had it for lunch and really enjoyed it. Of course, I'm a big fan of tuna in general, but this was exceptional! It had a very fresh taste and mixed easily with mayo, some sweet pickle and red onion, topped with lettuce and sliced tomato on a nice fresh roll. Delicious! I buy my usual brands in water as opposed to the olive oil here but still enjoyed it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i wish i could eat this every day but you have to limit yellowfin consumption due to mercury levels. that being said, if you are going to eat yellowfin tuna then this is the brand to buy. it's splurge worthy and tastes really delicious. you can do so many things with it or just eat it plain. either way you can't lose.

I usually prefer to buy tuna that’s packed in water, but because of the way that these cans were packed, there’s not a lot of oil and I didn' feel like the tuna had an oily texture..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rio Mare is absolutely the best canned tuna I have been able to find in the United States - and I have tried most, if not all, of the tuna can brands available, including all the imported and higher-end names. Rio Mare is my favorite because of the taste and texture. The flavor is delicate but pronounced enough to elevate any dish, or even a snack. I enjoy it on crackers as well as in my pasta dish. Even the smell is mild and not fishy. The texture is soft, velvety to the palate, it melts in your mouth. Even my toddler loves it! The tuna is preserved in a high quality olive oil that tastes much better than the olive oil of other brands. I also appreciate the fact that the can contains just the right amount of olive oil, so you don't even have to drain it (no mess, no waste). I received a Rio Mare tuna can to try thanks to Stellar Panel, in exchange for an honest review, and I can't wait to buy this again at a local store. The price is a great value for the quality. The packaging provides you with the ocean and catch method, which in this case was the West Pacific and it tasted as good as the canned tuna I had on the Mediterranean. Overall, a delicious and healthy protein that will be a staple in my pantry.

I thought the taste was superior to other canned tuna, I very fresh and not fishy. The texture was nice, though I prefer slightly less soft. I could eat it straight from the can or on toast, but I enjoyed this package in a pasta salad with spring veggies and pesto. Delicious and worth the price for the quality you get. Overall I'd buy this again to level up my weekday lunches.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were expecting better quality tuna since it's Rio Mare but it tasted just like regular cheap brand canned tuna from warehouse or supermarket. I don't find any reason to pay extra for the same low quality tuna meat.
