[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was honestly slightly leery of trying a can of tuna from a product testing company. But this tuna was GOOD. I eat Tuna regularly and typically buy the can here the tuna is packed in olive oil so it was a good side by side comparison. The taste was honestly phenomenal, and the sparse use of oil made it so much cleaner and easier to eat because no drainage was required. First I tried it plain, straight out of the can and the fish itself was soft and tender, and tasted delicious. If anything maybe it was a TAD too salty but I like salt so didn't bother me. Next I made my typical tuna salad which has mayo, capers, caper juice, onions, celery, lemon juice and dill. Again, I liked that because there is only a touch of olive out in the cans the recipe was easier and faster to make. The taste was great, but I would have to use 3-4 cans to get the full amount I typically make which basically uses all of them in one go. One reservation I have is that I typically only eat line and pole caught tuna for health reasons. The packaging made it very hard to determine if this was wild caught or farm raised. I BELIEVE it is farm raised and because of that I probably wouldn't buy in the future. But I did enjoy the taste, and texture and, and ease of this product. I would recommend if you are okay with farm raised fish, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to recommend to friends unless I find out it is wild caught.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wild Tuna in Olive Oil by Rio Mare is definitely different than your average tuna! Although Wild Tuna is quite a bit more expensive than your typical tuna, it is pink in color and loaded with vitamins! Very delicious!

I've tried a lot of canned tunas over the years, and this one definitely stands out. Compared to the usual grocery store brands, the taste is smoother and less “fishy.” The texture is firm but not dry, closer to chunks of actual tuna steak rather than mushy. I used it to make a simple tuna salad and it turned out fantastic. Because the tuna itself is already packed in olive oil, it has a deeper flavor, so I didn't need to add much else. It's definitely more expensive than the standard supermarket brands. But the quality justifies the price, you're paying for a product that actually tastes like tuna you'd eat fresh rather than just “protein filler.” What stood out most to me was the clean, meaty flavor and the fact that I didn't have to “doctor it up” to make it enjoyable. It feels more like a specialty ingredient than a pantry backup.

Sometimes I also like to add it in seafood pasta. This tasted great and I like that it has clean ingredient and real olive oil. I'd buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of Rio Mare Solid Light Wild Tuna in Olive Oil. The texture is firm and consistent, with none of the mushiness that you sometimes find in canned tuna. The olive oil gives it a smooth, rich flavor that makes it delicious right out of the can, without the need for extra seasoning. Compared to other brands I have tried, this tuna has a noticeably cleaner taste with no overwhelming “fishy” smell, which tells me it is high quality. While it is a bit more premium in price, the flavor and texture make it worth it. I will definitely be keeping it stocked in my pantry. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't mind the pun in my title, but this tuna truly is amazing! When the Stellar Product Testing Panel reached out and asked if I wanted to try tuna, I jumped right on board! Tuna has been one of the few things that has not bothered me during my pregnancy and my doctor was fully on board because of the healthy fats and omega 3s found in tuna. This tuna has a fantastic texture and not having to drain it meant that taste was not sacrificed due to the loss of flavor from the loss of the liquid. Compared to other tuna I've had, this one was far above the others! My favorite thing to make with this tuna was a tuna salad sandwich on a rosemary sourdough, toasted, of course, with cheese. I also used it to make a couple of tuna patties for lunch one day. It was so amazing that I legitimately cried. Blame it on the hormones, but it really was that good! I flew threw all 3 cans I receieved before thinking I should have taken a picture of at least one of my meals before I scarfed it down! The quality of this tuna is amazing, but it can be a little pricey per can when you compare it to the less expensive stuff that you can find at the grocery store. None of my local stores carry the brand so I do have to have it shipped to me if I order more (and believe me I will). Knowing that I'm the only one in my family who eats tuna I don't have a problem spending that kind of money on myself, but I do wish that it was perhaps slightly more affordable so that I might (and that is a big ask) be willing to share it with my kids who are very picky. I think the best thing about this tuna is the fact that it does not require any draining in order to be ready to use. I hate that extra step when all I want to do is make my food and eat it. The size of the can is actually perfect for one person because it's not too much. I would 100% recommend this product for any of my fellow tuna lovers out there! 10 out of 10 one of the best tuna products I have been able to eat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tina tasted wonderful and fresh. It don't have that tin flavor that other brands have. Even though the packaging said there was very little oil the fat content on the package gave a different story.

It has a firmer, thicker texture than other canned tunas. I made a mediterranean tuna salad. It was very easy to make and tasted delicious. It was healthy and satisfying with great flavor. It was quick enough to do on a busy week night. This is a budget friendly option to add into your meal rotation. The only thing I would change is fewer calories and more protein like some of the other canned tuna products I have had before.
