I tried this produce because of friend's recommendation for its environmental friendliness and the no-smell factor. I've been happy with how clean my dishes are and how it doesn't leave any detergent smell on my plastics. I do use a rinse aid to prevent water spots.

We purchased these packs trying to use better products for the environment in our home but this is causing us to waste a LOT of water. The packs aren't dissolving and the full cycle will go through and we wind up finding them at the bottom of the dishwasher still intact or partially intact. 2nd round usually works if we poke holes in them but just not making me feel confident when putting them in. Honestly upset because we have only used 4 and they are all having issues. Maybe I got a lemon batch maybe not but thought I would review so others know before purchasing.

I normally try to buy products from 'greener' cleaning companies, such as Seventh Generation, Method, and Biokleen. I have previously bought other products from Seventh Generation, including hand soap, laundry detergent, all purpose cleaner, and liquid dish soap. These other products worked well, so I decided to try these dishwasher tabs. I decided to try these because Target had a Cartwheel offer on these. This product cleans well, however, it has a very unpleasant smell while it is in the bag. I wasn't expecting the smell since it was supposed to be "free and clear", but I really can't stand the smell while it is still in the packaging. I don't smell anything after the dishwasher has completed the cycle, fortunately. As far as cleaning performance, I would say it is about on par with the Finish dishwasher tabs I normally use, which is very good. For reference, I am using this product in a Bosch 300 series dishwasher from 2016. The only reason I mention this is because other reviews mention that it doesn't clean or leaves powder behind. I have not experienced this issue in my dishwasher (nor have I experienced this issue with the Finish dishwasher tabs I normally use). If the smell doesn't bother you, I'd recommend this product.

I tried them on three different loads in my dishwasher and unfortunately they did not get half of anything off of the dishes and they had to be washed twice the second time I use my regular dishwashing detergent pods and they got it clean the second time

Was so excited to try this product, but after the first wash or two I noticed my dishes were not clean. There was a white residue left on the dishes, cups, and all my utensils. And there was also food residue as well. At first I thought it was my dishwasher, but then the same thing would happen every time I washed my dishes. After having to rerun the dishwasher a second time or hand wash everything, I just don't think this product works.

I was excited to try the dishwashing tablets that I received for free (2 samples of 4 tablets). Unfortunately, they did not deliver! There was a nasty film on all of my dishes and they definitely did not get the dirty food off of our plates and silverware. I didn't do anything different to my dishes than I normally do with my other tablets. I do not recommend them at all.

I noticed that a lot of other reviewers were saying that this dishwasher detergent was leaving behind a lot of powder. I was really nervous that the same would happen to me because we have such hard water out where I live. I tried it in the first full load right after I received this and my dishes came out sparkling with no cloudiness or residue at all! They are beautiful! (See attached picture) Now, granted, I do rinse all of my dishes before loading them in and this claims to reduce the need for that but honestly I think it could do it! It has a lot of cleaning power and cuts through my hard water with ease. My family and I are very pleased and will continue using this product! **I received a free product for the purpose of my review. Opinions are 100% my own**

I've used these for nearly two years and they've been great. Clean dishes, no residue. But I recently read about the dangers of ethoxylate and was dismayed to find this product contains it. I also discovered this product is not on the recommended list by EWG, and the version of ethoxylate that this product contains is rated a C. I will be switching. I buy SG out of trust, and it's frustrating to make these discoveries!

After using other Seventh Generation household products, I had high hopes for this one, but I was a bit disappointed in its performance. I used these packs as I normally would, and on the types of dishes I normally wash. I found that my dishwasher didn't smell very good after running it with one of these packs in it. It had a stale, dirty dishes type of smell to it. I know these detergent packs are free of fragrance, but I still expected the dishwasher to not have a bad smell. I also noticed that some of my dishes (mainly stainless steel items) didn't look clean when using this product. There were some tarnished spots and not all of the food residue was completely washed away. I do appreciate having the ingredient list on the packaging and being able to see how most of the ingredients are mineral or plant-based so it makes me feel better about using it. I received a free product for the purpose of my honest review.

They are now scented, fairly strongly, despite claiming not to be. I will be returning these.
