I must have used the yellow packaging before - the blue packaging leaves all of my plasticware covered in a cloudy film with an odd smell. Washing it by hand takes a while to get it off!

I tried the product twice. Each time on a light load of glasses, dishes and silverware. When I emptied the dishwasher, I found the items were clean and fragrant free, but there was residue on my glass measuring cups and some of the glasses. I received this product for free purpose of my honest review.

We have been using this product for several years. I love the no scent and good cleaning...sparkling properties of the cleaned dishes. We do however use about 6 oz. of white vinegar in the bottom of the d/w ...great rinse and makes the dishes sparkle clean. Perhaps the previous reviewer was a little lacking on cleaning his dishes and expected a miracle instead of cleaning the greasy yuck up before inserting the dishes in the washer.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents - I do pre-rinse the sticky stuff off, but I've been very happy with these pacs - dishes clean and shining with no spots. And good for the environment! Works way better than other 7th Generation products I've tried - this is the only one I continue to buy.

These tabs left a cloudy film on my glassware, although I am not sure if this is due to the very hard water in San Francisco. I generally have to use a strong dishwasher detergent like Finish Quantum to get rid of the spots and scum, and I think Seventh Generation is just too mild for San Francisco's mineral heavy water. During the first COVID rush I bought 7th Generation DIshwasher pods because they were the only product stocked. Wasn't expecting much but WOW! They clean dishes very well without pre-rinsing (or an expensive dishwasher model). They even cleared the hard water stains that had been on some glasses for years! Not going back to the big name brand. Highly recommend this product.

What could be better than a detergent that isn't bad for the environment, right? Wrong, from the moment I opened the package I started to have my doubts about this product. It smelled like death coming from the bag. All I could think is "WOW" do I really want to wash my dishes with something that smells so foul? I went ahead and tried it anyway. I started out with not even a full washer because I wanted to give this product a fair chance. When the load was done, the smell was gone but the food particles were not and there was some kind of whitish film left on all of the dishes. I tried it a few times more and got the same result. My conclusion is that I would never pay for this detergent and would not even use the rest of the bag. I threw out the rest of the bag beacause I didnt want to inflict that foul smelling worthless dish detergent to anyone else. "I received a free product for the purpose of my review. Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent pods did not clean my dishes very well. Had problems with stuck on foods, white marks, detergent build up. Never had other brands to have this problem like the way Seventh Generation dishwashing detergent caused. I will go back to using my normal dishwashing detergent Cascade in a gel and powder. Pods are the worst thing to ever use. I never had a problem with Cascade.

I received a free sample of the dishwasher pods for my honest review so here it is. I used 2 pods and was not happy with them. They left behind white marks on all my dishes. I cleaned the dishwasher and tried again but the same issue. Definitely not my cup of tea. Thank you for the sample.

I've had success with other brands of free and clear pods in my dishwasher, but these pods leave tons of residue on glass items, especially those on the top rack of the dishwasher. Very disappointing when you have to hand scrub half the items that come out of your dishwasher after the wash cycle is done. Do not recommend!
