I never liked K-cups. I prefer to grind my own beans. My coffee was always weak with the Keurig filters. The Hamilton Beach allows me to brew single cups up to 14 oz of good coffee. Not watered down stiuff. Being able to brew an entire pot is helpful when guests are visiting.

Bought it to replace my previous Hamilton dual maker it's made much better and I can brew 14+ oz in the single cup side. There is s a Separate water areas for the single cup so there is no alarm if you over filled it. The old craft would drip when pouring, this one is fine.

This coffee maker has proven to be perfect for us. Most of the time we use the single cup side and have used both k-cups and our own coffee. Either way, the coffee turns out great. I love that it brews HOT coffee. We don't do warm coffee well. Very pleased with this purchase. And would definitely recommend.

I bought this coffee maker 3 years ago and when I saw the upgrade l had to have it. It gives the option of your favorite kcup or there’s the coffee cup is closer to the spout or I can brew a whole pot. The old version and the new just the brew pots are the same

I have no concerns with speed of coffee brew time with the pot. Noticeably slower than a Keurig for the single serve. You MUST clean out the single serve area with water each time. Husband twice used a travel mug and water/coffee went everywhere. No problems with single mug. Don't overfill the water dispenser for single serve either. Have to remove the insert for most of my mugs- no big deal but mentionable. It is a space saver (except husband wasn't willing to have the spill again so he brought back out the Keurig too). I have it on a tray that I slide back and forth to put water in and slide back under cabinet. Good enough that I bought one for a family member.

We bought this because sometimes in the evening I like a cup of coffee and with this unit I dont waste a pot or get it too strong or weak. I can also use a k-cup or my loose coffee. I like that feature. We have bought lots of small appliances throughout the years and Hamilton Beach has never failed to give a quality product for an affordable price. Highly recommended this to everyone.

Love our FlexBrew. I love the carafe and my wife loves the single brewer. It combines both into one and is extremely convenient. Easy to set up and makes great tasting coffee. It's not perfect but for a new innovation, it suits the purpose really well. A couple of things that could be improved on in future models: It is set to use one or the other - not both. The only way to brew a single cup is to switch the carafe side off. We set the timer so that the carafe is brewed and waiting for us when we get up and then simply switch it to single cup for my wife. Also, single cup water reservoir holds ONE serving only. We were spoiled by Keurig that held up to 10 single cups at a time . . . and the water was already heated and ready to go. With the FlexBrew, it takes a minute or so to heat the water, but that's a minor thing. Sam's Club pricing couldn't be beat. When the Black Friday Ad broke, we actually bought a second unit as a back-up. If you are looking for an attractive countertop appliance that is easy to use without spending an arm and a leg, then the FlexBrew is it. We love it and HIGHLY recommend it.

So far I'm liking this machine. It does make a little noise when using the single serve side, but it's not bad. I like that I can make a pot when I have company or just use the single serve side for myself. Being able to use the feature for bold brew is nice as well.

This is the second HB 2-in-1 Coffee Maker that i've had. This is a better version from the old one. The program feature is easier to get to work and as long as I remember to get it ready at night and push the program button, there is freshly brewed coffee waiting for me in the a.m. The caraf of the old version always leaked when poured. Had to wipe off the counter every time. The lid on this caraf is a new design that prevents leaking when poured. I have only used the coffee pod, single brew once so far, but it functioned well. I did purchase some little glue-on slider feet that help the unit to slide easier on the counter top, since I have to move it forward to open the lid to fill with water and coffee. I enjoy that it has a smaller footprint than if i had both a coffee maker for a pot and one that is single serve with pods. All in all, I look forward to several years of service from this unit.

I received this as a Christmas gift and so far love it. I love the ability to brew a pot or one-cup to limit waste. I usually use the one-cup feature during the work week and brew a pot on the weekend or if I have company. The reusable "my cup" that came with it is great. Easy to fill and clean. I have been able to use Kcups with out problems. It's nice not having two coffee makers on my counter. Only wish it had a water reserve so I didn't have to fill it each time. It does take a little bit longer for the water to heat and brew than the Keurig. Hope it last more that the usual 1-2 years for my Keurigs.
