My 4yo has been using her Bentgo stainless steel lunchbox for ~1.5years and we are very happy with this purchase. I've also recommended this lunchbox to my mom friends and my daughter's classmates, and they too have been happy with their purchases. Pros: - It is a great *leakproof* stainless steel lunchbox (although we really haven't tested with anything super liquidy or soupy). - The lunchbox is durable -- we have not had any paint issues with the grey one. I avoided the colored ones because of the paint issues that I've seen in other reviews. There is a small dent on the lid but it doesn't impact the functionality and we covered it with a waterproof sticker. For what it's worth, we only handwash this lunchbox. - I like the option for 3-4 compartments (as opposed to other lunchboxes with multiple compartments). Each compartment holds a good amount of food. - Great customer service -- responded quickly to address the back hinge coming off. Cons: - The lunchbox is a bit heavy -- but I think this comes with any stainless steel containers. - The front latches were a bit challenging for small hands, but at 4yo, my daughter is able to open and close this by herself. (A friend said that the newer version of this container is easier to open though.) - One of the back hinge came off -- but customer service was great and responded quickly to address the issue (I hope the newer version also addresses this). Overall, I recommend this lunchbox. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

We purchased two of the Bentgo Stainless Steel lunch boxes for the 2022/23 school year. One purple and one fuschia. We had previously been using the smaller plastic Bentgo (we purchased five of them and they are still working well - just a little small for our growing kids). We were excited to start using the Stainless Steel boxes. Unfortunately, most of the paint peeled off the fuschia box within the first month. And now, six months into use, the plastic closure clip on the same box has chipped compromising functionality. I am now looking for other stainless steel options that will last.

Bought this in May and used it occasionally, always handwashing afterwards. Now that the school year is in I figured I would use the dishwasher as the lunch kit says “Dishwasher safe” on the back. Well the front sticker has lifted and torn, it looks terrible and now I have a sad little girl.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lunch box is slightly larger but thinner and the sections are sized perfectly.A silicone container comes with the lunchbox which can be added or removed as needed. With different size compartments it is convenient to keep portion size meal like fruit, veggies, rice etc. I like that it is stainless steel and leak resistant. My daughter has no issues in opening and closing the lunchbox. It is dishwasher safe but I usually handwash it. The lunchbox works for both adults and kids.

We have two lunchboxes. We had an issue with one, as our child damage the lunchbox. Customer service folks were super attentive and helpful. I was a fan of the product. But was super impressed with the after-purchase service. Would thoroughly recommend it.

I bought this lunchbox for my son a year ago and he took it to school everyday last year. Unfortunately, the hinge broke recently. Customer service was great and they are sending me a replacement! I really like having a leak-resistant, stainless steel lunchbox option for my kid.

This lunch box works great, does not spill and works well size wize for my 4 year old. However, despite always washing it by hand, precisely to try and avoid that, the paint has started to peel, only months after we started using it. It is disappointing on that front.

Purchased this about a year ago, and the welding on one of the hinges came apart. We have only ever hand washed this and it doesn't take a lot of abuse so I was surprised that it broke. However, I sent photos to customer service via email and had a replacement coming within an hour under their warranty. Even though expected more of the product itself for the price, it was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Gave it four stars because sometimes the latches are a little finicky to get them to stay closed and they have a tendency to pop back open when you try to clip them closed. This is just slightly annoying but hasn't affected the lunchbox itself staying closed and it has never leaked in my daughter's lunch bag. Juicy foods like watermelon do leak from one compartment in to the other compartment however. The rest of it is perfect and still looks like the day we bought it, even though it is used daily. It is a good size and my daughter loves being able to see all her food and it is easy for a toddler to eat from like a plate. I have recommended this to other parents in my daughter's class and would continue to do so even though it did break.

I bought these to protect my infant from plastic contaminants. Through a series of unfortunate events, I did not need them until a while after I had purchased and stored these. Seems I didn't get the new and improved version that is now available. Once I started using these about a year ago, they have been completely amazing. Unfortunately, despite gentle use and strict hand washing, the one spot welded hinge release from the container. Very disappointing for such a nice product. Happy to hear they are now improved. Hopefully this was the issue they were improving.

A leak-resistant stainless steel and silicone lunch box is a great idea, but after just one week of use, the exterior paint started peeling. I really wanted to like this lunch box, but I think it would be better without the paint and just have a naked stainless steel exterior.
