I love that I can watch my regular DVDs and Blu-ray discs from the same piece of equipment. I love all of the apps that are pre-installed with this product as well makes it easy to switch from one to the other. Also with the new triluminos display, it makes viewing more enjoyable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were in need of a new Blu-ray player since the one we had quit working. I wanted something compact, easy to set up, and easy to use. I FOUND IT!! This Sony Blu-ray Disc Player was just what I was looking for. All I had to do was plug it in and then take the HDMI cord from the old one and plug it into this one....Voilà!! I was ready to watch a movie with my kids!! The one downfall is that in order to update the player it has to be attached with a cord other than that I am loving this machine!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a DVD player (I know it seems odd with all the steaming we do now a days) but there are a lot of movies and shows that we own for ourselves and for the kids and grandkids. It's nice just simply putting a disc in (call me crazy) anyways this one just that it plays dvd's (Regular and Blu-ray) but....... (drumroll) it is also Bluetooth so we can also stream using it (Netflix, YouTube etc...) and I just love that about it! We really have gotten SO much use out of it! It isn't to big or bulky it is nice and sleek. It performs beautifully!!! The holidays are right aroun the corner and I'm thinking of picking a couple more up for gifts I love it that much!

We have watched a few dvds on it and it plays great. Really easy set up and easy to use. I love that it can connect to the internet and stream Netflix.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I have been using this blu-ray disc for a couple weeks and we have been pleased. It's been a nice upgrade from our old dvd player and we love being able to watch higher quality blu-ray movies. I love that we can play both dvd's and blu-rays as well on it. We noticed that the disc's load fast and the menu screens respond quickly which has been nice. One drawback we found was Youtube and Netflix (any streaming service) is slow in menus and skipping through videos. Once a video is playing, it will increase in quality and viewing experience is then good. The design is nice, doesn't take up much space and it has a sleek modern look. One thing to keep in mind is that it is wired and not wireless Ethernet, so if you want to watch streaming video or access internet extras on your discs then you'll have to plug in. Overall, my family and I have been enjoying this product and would recommend!

It hooks directly to the tv and I can use it to contact to providers that are not included in my tv package such as Netflix, YouTube and other various services. It has a direct Internet connection right in the back of the machine. It is very compact and sleek looking in my opinion.

Overall, this player is responsive and easy to use. It handles Blu-rays very well. The upsampling from standard definition to high-def is only fair though. But that is to be expected at this price point. The internet connection is wired, but can add many more streaming apps if you don't have a smart TV which is nice. This is very good starter Blu-ray player.

The DVD starts very quickly and runs smoothly. With high-definition video, wonderful clear images, and great audio quality, this is an inexpensive unit that takes up very little room. You can never go wrong with a Sony product and this one is no exception.

It does have internet capabilities but this version is only by ethernet cable so keep that in mind. It has all the newest apps and streaming services to be downloaded and added to the player.
